1. However, although I have downloaded them and the "mini-scale", My Maps still don't work, as it says I still need to download the mini-scale map! In its current form the app does not work even after two further updates and is driving me towards a decision to drop it and subscribe to the actual Ordnance Survey product. So am I to assume that this app is now dead, and the money I have spent on offline maps is lost for ever? It used to be very good, but is now completely unusable, even with the "trick" of removing the external storage and installing maps on built-in memory.
2. I like so many others was unable to view all my purchased maps at first, even after downloading them! The solution I found was to remove the app then reinstall it again followed by downloading my previously purchased maps again to finally see them...still trying to find my way around the app but at least now I can see my maps...maps are good, but planning a new route is excruciating.
3. And improvement would be the shared routes from the community - you can't see them on the map before downloading so adding that functionality would help.[Edit]: Acter completely uninstalling and reinstalling the app, I am now able to view my downloaded maps using the My Maps view.
4. Would like more support of .kml/.kmz to make importing and exporting points and routes easier.Like others, have paid for individual maps, but am now unable to download them to my device.
5. The update to version 5 wiped out my purchased maps which were only restored after several emails to technical support.
6. Such a shame, not just because of the money I've wasted, but it was excellent, with the web version as well for planning routes. The recent update threw up a bit of an issue...the old quote of 'if it ain't broke don't fix it' springs to mind.
7. It appears that the reason is that not enough points are recorded during the walk, so creating straight lines about every 0.5 miles instead of following the actual route.
8. when plotting it keeps freezing, so you have to save as you go, otherwise you start again from the beginning, so not really useful for longer hikes or bike rides.I have just signed up for this App, so thought I would try it out on a short walk of about 3 miles.
9. I have spent around £100 on various 'lifetime' OS Maps and they are not interested in refunding me.
10. If a fix is not in evidence soon, I will be asking for the app to be removed from the Play store and my money returned.I've totally lost confidence in this product.
11. To my surprise the distance on completion recorded around 2.5 miles, which is pretty useless if you want to know how far you have walked.
