REID Customer Insights

1. The tracking feature doesn't work however so don't expect to see any maps of your journey, average speed etcThis needs maintenance!!!!!!!!!!! This app is so basic yes you can see your speed and battery that's great , but what the issue is the light on deck stays on in day and night no switch off and can not change colors I will never attempt to lock my scooter as dontbwantnyo be disabled from it never to use againThis app is overall ok but if you don't spent £500 odd pound on the scooter you might have a problem, this app is easy to use when u have the scooter and Bluetooth connects easily but often if you have low battery it doesn't connect.I can't connect via the app and a Google Pixel phone.

2. - Date picker has 00 day? - Intermittent app crashes - Change avatar goes to white screen - App does not remember scooter selection - Speed limiter options?!? 😉 - Lights colour change for boost model? - Brake light settings? - App version change listApp not working at all.

3. Am I missing something blatantly obvious? We have a Boost scooter which also says in the manual I can change the lighting colour settings.

4. It allows you to lock the scooter and change of the led colour around the headlight.

5. Great app that gives scooter cruise control: couldn't understand why some of the older generation may not be able to use it(its very straight forward).

6. One thing that I managed to figure out is that if the walking mode is selected, it gives the scooter cruise control.

7. I can connect via the phone Bluetooth fine but the app won't pick up the scooter.

8. Could offer so much more for little effort.Just downloaded the latest version yesterday, have gone through the whole app and there is nowhere that I can find to adjust the colour settings for the LEDs.

9. This means I can hold down the throttle at top speed (15mph) for about 5-10 seconds then let go and will be kept at an avarage speed of 13-15 mph.Nearly but not quite! Installed no problem on Android devices but has some glitches.

10. My app is connected to the scooter as I can turn the headlight on or off, lock it, etc.

11. No response from customer service.Sort of functional, which is a real shame as the scooter is brilliant.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix REID Issues

1. Fix REID Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart REID: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the REID App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "REID" » Open REID » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for REID » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear REID app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from REID servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "REID" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check REID app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, REID might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall REID. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall REID then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing REID not working


2. Fix REID Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make REID be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to REID not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, REID may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
