1. Sometimes, I have to crank my TV volume to max just to hear the show and then quickly hit mute when the commercials start.I installed the app a couple of days ago, watched one movie, but now when I try to watch a movie it had to refresh every few seconds, can't make it past a couple of minutes of that before it just becomes not worth watching.

2. I don't mind commercials but often it cuts to commercials, plays a ridiculous amount and freezes to a black a screen which forces you to back out and hit resume on the time stamp that the show went to commercials.

I'm not adverse to ads, I know how it works and it's necessary to keep it free, but 34 minutes into a movie and we've already had 6 ad breaks! 3 ads at a time, with a loading break between for each ad, and the ads are at least double the volume! It dramatically and detrimentally affects my enjoyment.

4. The show will play for few seconds and then bam right back for another round of commercials, which surprise freezes to a black screen again, forcing you to back out and hit resume.

5. Really annoying! The app needs work and once these issues are fixed, I will spend more time looking at FilmRise's video content.I gave the app 1 star because of the commercials.

6. I find Tubi infinitely more enjoyable with much less frequency, volume, and loading time for their ads.First, the app does provide a lot of entertainment with commercial interruptions.

7. I watch other apps where the commercials do not assault you.Very good mix of free movies, series and documentaries.

8. Again, please fix your app.I really love this app but since this latest update adding the caption option, playback keeps stopping and now with the ads playing during the playback, the screen goes black but you can still hear what's playing.

9. Maybe it's just my phone having this problem, but I don't have this problem with other movie apps, so I guess I'll uninstall this app and go back to the others.The FilmRise app is very simple... Maybe much too simple.

11. I would have given a 5 star rating, but the major complaint I have is that there are way too many ad interrupts in which the same ad gets repeated at least 5x in a row.The choice of movies is decent.

1. Fix FilmRise Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart FilmRise: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the FilmRise App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "FilmRise" » Open FilmRise - Movies and TV Shows » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for FilmRise » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear FilmRise - Movies and TV Shows app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from FilmRise servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "FilmRise - Movies and TV Shows" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check FilmRise app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, FilmRise might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall FilmRise. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall FilmRise then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing FilmRise not working

2. Fix FilmRise Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make FilmRise be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to FilmRise not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, FilmRise may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
