Voice Recorder Customer Insights

1. Also annoying that you can't transfer a bunch of files at once and have to do them one at a time.The voice recorder is ok and fairly easy to use, but it's VERY inconvenient that there is no 'Discard' option after creating a recording.

2. There were minor glitches where short pieces of conversation were lost, maybe twice an hour, as if a piece of the recording had been taken out, but I attribute this to my phone not keeping up well enough.Records low volume without a lot of static.

3. The app is definitely well developed in my experience.Very good, however when naming a finished recording the option to rename the recording doesn't take effect.

4. They claim to allow unlimited recording, but the app shuts off randomly without saving the file I had in progress (not the phone, it's brand new).

5. REALLY appreciate all the different features of this app!! My biggest suggestion, would be when listening to playback, instead of putting a spinning record, to actually be able to see the audio like a mixer app (like how it is when you record) so that you can find certain points quicker.

6. Crystal clear playback, I've found that it picks up sound quite easily so if you're, say, recording a meeting, with even more than one person, it captures every voice clearly-making it easier to type minutes, etc.

7. If this is ever to be fixed, I would like for the automated title function to remain the same but the option to rename the file needs to take effect when renamed with the first offer to rename the file.

8. I need you guys to give an option to SAVE or DISCARD a recording, so that I don't have to go all the way to the list of recordings and delete recordings after I've saved them.

9. This happens about 20% of the time, so when I record my 2 hour online class, I only get the recording 8 out of 10 times and that's just not ok.

10. If this isn't fixed in the next update, I'll have to start looking for another voice app that will let me move the recorded files.This is okay overall, but I have a couple pretty major complaints.

11. You have to rename the recording after having accepted the automated title given.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Voice Recorder Issues

1. Fix Voice Recorder Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Voice Recorder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Voice Recorder App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Voice Recorder" » Open Voice Recorder : Recording App » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Voice Recorder » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Voice Recorder : Recording App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Voice Recorder servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Voice Recorder : Recording App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Voice Recorder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Voice Recorder might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Voice Recorder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Voice Recorder then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Voice Recorder not working


2. Fix Voice Recorder Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Voice Recorder be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Voice Recorder not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Voice Recorder may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
