1. Buyer beware!It's genuinely crazy- you buy an adapter...and then they force you to buy the software subscription just to use it! After the 30 day "free trial" expires im stuck with a useless tool.

2. I'm stuck paying again just to put my car back to normal.I can see how this app would be useful but I signed up for the annual subscription with a free 7 day trial through the app to see what it could do for an Audi TT and a Ford F350.

3. Total waste of money, just get a relatively inexpensive real hardware scanner...While I was not able to activate my 30-day free trial I have paid for services from carista.

4. Since this is lacking extended coding options, the subscription service is overpriced and really a non-competitor to OBDeleven and other 'more powerful' tools.

5. I was able to change settings such key fob actions,turn off daytime running lights,change the brightness of my turn signals and automatic transmission shift point prefference! For personal use with one or two vehicles it's well worth it.

8. I didn't mind it when they required me to pay to reset the codes or do other extra stuff, but now I have to pay to do a basic function (which, might I add, takes forever to load all the codes)? No, no more.

9. I did the trial upgrade to the 'Pro' version so that I could make some changes, then cancelled my subscription.

10. If I would have then cancellation process should state that.I was able to make two changes to my car and avoided the dealer expense and time but I will say options are very limited.

11. And it's a lie that it gives you "basic" codes even without the subscription, it rarely might but usually it's all blocked out.

1. Fix Carista OBD2 Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Carista OBD2: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Carista OBD2 App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Carista OBD2" » Open Carista OBD2 » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Carista OBD2 » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Carista OBD2 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Carista OBD2 servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Carista OBD2" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Carista OBD2 app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Carista OBD2 might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Carista OBD2. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Carista OBD2 then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Carista OBD2 not working

2. Fix Carista OBD2 Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Carista OBD2 be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Carista OBD2 not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Carista OBD2 may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
