NOVATRON Music X NEO Customer Insights

1. Changing these enabled the volume control of the X35 again with the app running.I have an X40 which used to use the Music X app with Firmware R0073 but recently was upgraded to R0075 firmware.

2. Why would I ever want to play an album in alphabetical order? Why is that even an option, never mind the default.I have to use the old app to control the volume, on new app I can't pull the volume past 1/3.

3. Does everything you need, just poke around in the settings and you'll find ways to fix any issues you have (ie volume capped at 1/3).

4. I discovered that in settings there is a volume and maximum volume setting.

5. Software is letting down this very good piece of hardware.Terrible. Confused design, unintuitive layout, full of bugs, continous communication breaks with the device.

6. Initially when it connected, the X40 shut down its volume to 30% & could not be raised higher.

7. At first, whenever this app was active the volume of the X35 would drop down to 31.

8. If I tried increasing the volume it said Max Volume.

9. I could only increase the volume by closing the app.

10. Since this upgrade it stopped working so tried the updated Music X Neo app.

11. Works on newer versions of Android but not on 6.0 as I discovered.NA for X12 ! Nice touch for clients using an X12 Correction.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix NOVATRON Music X NEO Issues

1. Fix NOVATRON Music X NEO Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart NOVATRON Music X NEO: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the NOVATRON Music X NEO App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "NOVATRON Music X NEO" » Open NOVATRON Music X NEO » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for NOVATRON Music X NEO » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear NOVATRON Music X NEO app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from NOVATRON Music X NEO servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "NOVATRON Music X NEO" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check NOVATRON Music X NEO app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, NOVATRON Music X NEO might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall NOVATRON Music X NEO. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall NOVATRON Music X NEO then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing NOVATRON Music X NEO not working


2. Fix NOVATRON Music X NEO Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make NOVATRON Music X NEO be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to NOVATRON Music X NEO not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, NOVATRON Music X NEO may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I am using an iPad to control my Cocktail X35 machine and when I try to connect to my Tidal service i get a message saying "Please use your companion app to login". I have logged in on my may computer and my iPad but still can't access Tidal. Any suggestion about how to solve this problem.?
