1. I sometimes have to close and re-open a chat to get new messages.Edit: thanks for the suggestion to disable the translate feature in OpenAi integration settings Original issue: App crashing in a loop after latest update when entering conversations; running Talk 17.0.0 on Android 13 on Samsung Galaxy A53 5GApp is working quite well and would fit my needs for the time being.
2. I briefly tried the beta app, and then started having notification problems, and inability to join calls between a mobile device and the web app.I noticed other comments about missing notifications - I experience this as well.
3. I am hoping though, that the app notification issues can be ironed out in the near term.I would like to see the app be able access the the phone's photos, downloads, and other stuff like other messaging apps.
4. Also, it lacks the ability to take and share pictures with the mobile device camera in chat, and share on-device files not in nextcloud.
5. For the quick on my review ill give it 4 th star! thx NextcloudText and voice seems to work well, but I'm having problems getting video to work properly.
6. The "grant access" problem was a server setup issue that I fixed by modifying the server's config.php. I'm guessing the voice/video issue is also a server setup issue, but I have not figured it out yet.
7. I am very excited about the nextcloud talk feature, and while annoyed at my ability to get the server configured, I don't want to give a low rating on this app for those issues.
8. However there is a behavior that is extremely frustrating, if switching back to the app from another or canceling a send file dialogue, all of my typed message is lost when it returns to the conversation view on its own.Running NC 17 and trying this on multiple platforms/devices.
9. Keep it up with matching features for other alternatives (telegram) and I will switch.I installed the Nextcloud snap on an Ubuntu 20.04 VM, and placed it behind a reverse proxy on my LAN.
10. Also had the grant access error that another poster described, and I am not able to send/receive voice or video when either of the connecting clients are outside my LAN.
11. Biggest thing preventing me from using it is unable to send locally stored files (photos videos etc) - can only send files stored in the cloud.
Hi, I am trying to use Nextcloud (Talk) but I am running into an issue. After installation of Nextcloud / Nextcloud Talk apps and trying to login I am getting a screen with security warning. When pressing the button 'Login' nothing happens. The same when clicking the link to 'alternative login' (even after generating a login token via the website.
At earlier moment I got the Nextcloud app installed, but after de-installation I am getting the same result as with the Talk app.
Please let me know what I can do to fix this.
