Why should I report an Issue with Nextcloud?

1. I understand that open source software has it's quirks, but come on.Very glitchy, been using for a year now, not dependable Sharing files to nextcloud to upload never works.

2. It does have nice features like auto sync with Android pictures, but it's just too buggy to use all the time and I end up using 3rd party apps or even just the web interface.Good beginning attempt, but still a long way to go.

3. The auto update feature only works if you are using less than a thousand small files, then it gets really buggy.

4. The auto upload features need fixed.I told nextcloud to keep a copy of my photos on their original folder.

5. Also, the upload functionality needs to pay extra attention to -- there's no progress indicator in the Uploads menu, cannot cancel ongoing uploads and uploading doesn't happen in the background.Very slow and buggy.

6. Uploading files directly through file selection usually works but you have to verify the file uploaded, the app will often silently not upload the file and I'd you look for it on the server later it will not be there.

I also wanted to be informed of any sync conflicts but for some reason instead of being smart enough to realize that if there is a sync conflict and I opt to keep the server version, instead of skipping that item like it should it proceeds to redownload the photo to my phone which I never asked for.

8. I actually have no issues with auto upload, but sync leaves a bit to be desired; you can't configure the location of syncs.

9. When I open the app, the failed ones will automatically upload again but it can take hours to go through the sync conflict ones.

10. I am sure there are people trying to fix it but it's not stable for auto update or moving many small image files.

11. I've had to disable the 'Auto Upload' feature because it does not work consistently.

1. Fix Nextcloud Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

1. Restart Nextcloud: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
2. Update the Nextcloud App. Here is how:
   1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Nextcloud" » Open Nextcloud » click "Update".
   2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Nextcloud » click "UPDATE".
3. Clear Nextcloud app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Nextcloud servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Nextcloud" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Nextcloud app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Nextcloud might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Nextcloud. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Nextcloud then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Nextcloud not working

2. Fix Nextcloud Server issues & Internet Connection

1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Nextcloud be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Nextcloud not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Nextcloud may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
