1. I have the voucher number, I will contest this charge with my bank and report this app as fraud if you cannot cancel it manually when a customer asks!!Fraud, scam! I made a reservation pick up a car and they cleaned my accout, and some overdraft, the renting agency told me the confirmation number didn't have the same amount of numbers and it had the wrong set of letters at the beginning.

2. Buyer beware! Don't be a sucker like me!I tried to rent a car for a certain time once I paid it changed the reservation to a time and date that had nothing to do with when I wanted to rent the car so I instantly tried to get my money back and they refused and the dates that I was supposed to rent no longer were available.

3. In panic I used their contact form, heard nothing until they cancelled my reservation because the "unlikely event" (their words) - they couldn't find a car for me - had happened.

4. I tried to make a reservation through the app several times and was told there was an error, and I was never sent a confirmation about a completed reservation.

5. It is not! My email is verified, I can SEE my reservation but it only has 'find hotel deals' button, I've sent screen shots.

6. Yet my card was charged twice for the Pay Now fee and when I tried to sent a message on the up to contact them, it gave another error message saying the message couldn't send.

7. Drop off and pickup times were changed between my booking screen (I have the screenshot) and the final reservation.

  • This is the second complaint I have written to you about this scamming fraudulent company. I have written to them repeatedly either getting no response or a response that makes no sense and has nothing to do with what I’m telling them and the best one was they emailed me another customers email to them that was also requesting a refund. I have sent them emails with a whole breakdown of my money I have paid and the little bit the have refunded. They insist on giving me credit for something I will never be able to use which I have also explained to them. I have called car rental companies and companies such as Expedia, Priceline etc. all saying they would have refunded my money immediately no questions asked, but not Carla. I have filed a complaint with the FTC for their unethical business practices and will contact my attorney on monday.
    Here’s the quick breakdown of what is going on:
    On 5/29/2021 I used Carla cars to attempt to rent a vehicle paid them $94.44 for a prepayment fee. Nowhere did it say no refunds. I went to pick up the car, and because I did not have a credit card with a large enough limit for a deposit and the car rental I could not get the car. I contacted Carla but did not receive a response. I emailed the company several more times, finally two weeks later I received an email stating that I could not receive a refund that they had applied credit to my account for a future car rental. Not at all happy about what happened I decided to try again. So on 6/28/2021 I tried to rent a car again this time using the company’s “peace of mind” policy which stated that I would receive a refund if I was not able to rent the car. But when I went thru the process to get the rental my credits were not there as promised so I again paid the full amount of their prepayment fee of $133.40. I emailed the company letting them know that there was no credits on my account. No answer. Once again I could not rent the car because my credit card limit wasn’t enough. I again emailed the company. Approximately two days later I received a refund for $95. But they still had $133.40 after several more emails they refunded $14.69 for what I don’t know. I have continued to email them repeatedly everyday for the rest of my money which is $118.15. They still refuse even though I purchased their peace of mind. They still insist on giving me credits I will never be able to use and do not want to use because I have told them reatedly that I don’t want any further business with their unethical company.

  • On 5/29/2021 I rented a car from Carla rents. I was unable to get the car I had reserved because agent was unaware of a company policy. My voucher number for that rental was 2551111. After several emails to the company trying to get a refund for what I thought was the price of the insurance $95.44. I finally received an email telling me they would not refund my money but they would give me credit for the amount towards my next rental. So on 6/28/2021 I made another reservation for another vehicle and still had to pay the full amount $133.40 it said it was for the insurance. So I again emailed the company trying to at least get the credit that I was told I would get of $95.44. But once again two emails later I have heard nothing. I no longer wish to rent any vehicle from this company but I want my money back now. I feel that this company is a total fraud. Scamming people out of their hard earned money. If I don’t hear anything back from this company I will be getting my attorney involved. I don’t appreciate getting scammed

  • I would like a phone call from them in reference to the inconvenience that they have caused my family for not letting us know who our car was through until today and to find out we will have to pay an additional 618.00 at the counter to pick up vehicle when the reservation was made over a week ago to find out details of rental today was a horrible way to do business on there behalf and they need a phone number so people can contact them instead of having an automated message sent through email is another horrible way of handling customers
