YourHour Customer Insights

1. It would be nice if we could edit the usage time for cases like that.The interface is pretty user friendly, but the settings are limited and when you have a LOT of apps, setting them to particular groups is a bit clunky.

2. For whatever reason, it sometimes fails to monitor my screen time until I open the app, and I'll have gone over my set time sometimes, but it didn't blockI've enjoyed using the app, but I have yet to hear back from support on an issue that's preventing me from accessing my data.

3. The timer is really helpful, and I love all the adjustable settings and challenges that help keep me off my phone.

4. I sas someone saying that they didn't want apps that run in the background counted... If you mark apps as "productive" they aren't counted toward your daily usage.

5. It's okay if you're looking for something simple.There is an appreciated balance between complexity and simplicity in this app not only can you auto lock certain apps after a predetermined time.

6. It's straightforward in most respects, but you'll need to fine tune things ultimately to suit your needs.I love this app!! Very in depth charts to help you see where you are wasting time.

7. I do also wish the notifications were a bit kinder? Sometimes they can be really harsh or judgemental.I didn't really realize I had an issue until I got this a couple of months ago... but my average time was usually 4-8 hours.

8. You can exclude productivity apps from being counted in the settings and it will track them separately.Absolutely love this app.

9. I have reported that the 'expoet to excel' function doesn't work and have sent logs but haven't heard back still.When you see a high usage date in the reports and you want to zoom into the daily usage of that day (hr by hr, etc), this information is not contained.

10. the floating clock opens and closes easily and displays green yellow and red to indicate if you are over your time limit.

11. Also, even though I have daily, no usage, scheduled challenges, some days the challenge starts and others notThis is the only app I trust to help with my social media control.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix YourHour Issues

1. Fix YourHour Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart YourHour: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the YourHour App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "YourHour" » Open YourHour - ScreenTime App » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for YourHour » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear YourHour - ScreenTime App app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from YourHour servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "YourHour - ScreenTime App" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check YourHour app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, YourHour might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall YourHour. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall YourHour then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing YourHour not working


2. Fix YourHour Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make YourHour be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to YourHour not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, YourHour may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
