1. This is an unofficial Android version of the famous metal-archives. com website.
2. It's still work in progress so any feedback is greatly appreciated.
3. If the app becomes popular, I will improve the network performance and add more features.
1. At least this one isn't outright ugly, just extremely dated with its Gingerbread look.As it stands being a small portable bare bones version of a great website I go to every day, it gets the job done for simple band and album searches, and most times that's all I need.
2. Also there is a Google chrome extension on the site that links to an artist's Spotify for quick listening, I'm not sure if something similar could apply? Love the app, time to find some bands!Fast and no ads.
3. Don't waste your time on this appAs a metal listener and someone who takes a keen interest in the bands I listen too, this app is very useful and informative.
4. There are many bugs as well (three dot menu in the album view doesn't work and the back button doesn't always bring you back to the previous screen).
5. Awesome app and great work, thank you! Some thoughts, maybe perhaps a filter feature while searching albums, genres, themes, ect.
6. The design could need an overhaul. While it's good to have a mobile app for this essential encyclopedia for metalheads, the dated look + flow are off-putting.
7. And when you click on other bands that perhaps that musician was a part of in the past, it doesn't take you anywhere.
8. Doesn't offer quality information about the bands and you can't look up individual members.
9. I submit reviews there myself and I appreciate other people's opinions on albums.
10. I think it would be great to read and submit reviews for albums on the app.
11. the only minor change to make it perfect and it's just me nitpicking would be to be able to sort the discography for full length, demos, misc, or EPs.
