1. The vocabulary is up to date, my partner, native Spanish speaker, has been impressed with what I've learned in a short amount of time! I will be purchasing the full version!!!I really like this app - it's easy to use and I like hearing /seeing all the different people saying the things I'm learning.
2. I was frustrated though because in lesson 2 my grammar lesson included words and hiragana that I haven't been taught yet, so the exercise was confusing and totally missed the point of teaching me.I've been using the paid version of Memrise for about a week now and can say that I really enjoy how it teaches language.
3. Which is a shame, because the service itself is pretty good! I genuinely would have gotten a subscription by now, if it weren't so scummy. It's great for colloquial and spoken French! I have been using this app for 3 years, and I have a better understanding of phrases and sentences than the Owl app.
4. I love being able to learn very specific vocab and phrases that I can confidently use during a conversation, and the literal translations and videos of native speakers provided with each phrase are super helpful.
5. Absolutely horrendous way to 'encourage' people to get the subscription (which removes ads), it just makes me want to stop using the app entirely rather than paying for it.
6. It would be nice to combine that them into one interface so we don't have to switch.Pretty incredible overall, and with so many languages to learn, and an option to permanently remove ads(as well as access premium content) it's one of the best I've ever seen.
7. I'd still recommend using this in conjunction with another instructional input.Native audio and great flashcards.
8. In comparison to Duolingo, which repeats the same things over and over until it's burned into your brain forever; Memrise has you do vocabulary a few times and then assumes you know it for good.
9. I also like how they use real people speaking in this app.The lessons are easy to follow and provide an authentic accent.
10. For example I was doing korean 1, and I was only able to learn 33 of the 538 flashcards.
11. All-in-one all I'm ecstatic that I found this one😁.I've really enjoyed this app for years, I used it to relearn German and I picked it up to start Japanese.
Hi, I purchased a year subscription through iTunes/apple. My apple account says it expires on august 24, 2022. It is an annual subscription, but my Memrise app says I’m in the free trial. ( even though I paid for a year subscription)
