mbrace Customer Insights

1. I really really on the remote start as it gets below or near freezing during the winter with frost on the car so it would be wonderful if it worked at least 50% of the time but that doesn't happen.

2. For example, you'll open it to remote start your car and it'll still show that the car is running from the last time you ran it (even though the car is not running).

3. I've found the app has wasted more time than it's saved, so I really don't even bother trying to use it anymore.After months of not being able to get past the 'welcome back' screen, reinstalling, not getting anywhere with tech support, and no one at dealership being able to help, I finally completely deleted my previous account and re-registered, and that worked.

4. The lock/unlock feature is highly unreliable (9/10 times it fails to open the car.) The vehicle locate comes back with a "The locate feature is currently unavailable" error 95% of the time when I can visually see the car parked outside.

5. Never know if it worked until I get in and see if it's there.worst app ever! It works sporadically and especially in the coldest weather when I really need to warm up my car via auto start, the app fails to open.

6. With the widget it's much faster to remote start, you don't have to open the buggy app that hangs intermittently until you close it and reopen it.

7. Occasionally, it won't remote start for reasons "on our end." It'd be nice if you start the car remotely and set a temperature or start the defroster.

8. The remote start takes forever if it decides to work at all.

9. Have never tried the remote start as I have no need for it.

10. (I would hate to have to rely on this app in the event of an emergency.) I have never been successful, when I try and use the Send 2Benz feature with destinations pulled and sent to the car from my Android phone.

11. Honestly, the remote start should not be something only accessible through an app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix mbrace Issues

1. Fix mbrace Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart mbrace: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the mbrace App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "mbrace" » Open mbrace » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for mbrace » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear mbrace app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from mbrace servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "mbrace" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check mbrace app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, mbrace might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall mbrace. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall mbrace then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing mbrace not working


2. Fix mbrace Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make mbrace be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to mbrace not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, mbrace may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
