Lyft Driver Customer Insights

1. For example, Uber will tell me to pick someone up at Bob's Burgers, but Lyft app will tell me to got to 123 Main St and when I get there 123 doesn't exist and the pin has me picking up pax in the middle of the road.

2. People have company schedule trips for them and pick up is in the middle of a building... I can't drive inside a building.Cancelled rides usually don't get a cancellation fee.

3. It will have me go across town through residential streets right next to a main road just to save .2 miles drove not to mention how unsafe traveling through residential roads in my city are with little to no stop signs and people out and about.

4. Many problems with navigation I can have full bars and it still says poor network connectivity I don't mind upfront pricing but sometimes it's an accurate sometimes it pays less on the rate card.

5. Also, will not work with apps like MAXYMO to allow automatic switching between apps.I recently started back driving with Lyft, and it has not been a good experience.

6. Incentives compared to Uber are bad.Let me start by saying I will continue to drive for the platform but it needs an overall for the app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Lyft Driver Issues

1. Fix Lyft Driver Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Lyft Driver: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Lyft Driver App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Lyft Driver" » Open Lyft Driver » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Lyft Driver » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Lyft Driver app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Lyft Driver servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Lyft Driver" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Lyft Driver app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Lyft Driver might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Lyft Driver. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Lyft Driver then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Lyft Driver not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Lyft Driver be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Lyft Driver not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
