Live Traffic NSW Customer Insights

1. Very poor user experience, suggest it is likely because the app cannot handle the sheer number of events listed on it (and of course there are many councils that don't participate such as my own, making the information incomplete anyway).Web site pegs my PC's CPU (all 4 cores) at 100%, with Firefox and Chrome advising livetraffic is slowing down the browser(s).

2. At a time like this when knowing which roads are closed and which roads are safe is so important, it's frustrating that the app isn't up to spec. The data is great, seriously - but ZOMG! the UI is *the worst* Can't have more than 3 stops in a saved trip (?) Cant edit saved trip.

3. Latest update way too slow, seems more interested to pull in too much detail of local business names instead of letting me zoom out immediately and assess what options i have with the actual traffic/ incident situation.

4. For a supposed "live traffic" app, the information provided about holiday traffic is, in my opinion, seriously disappointing. The app is usually good, but of late has become impossible to use - I need to use the website instead.

5. My preferred app seemed to be very slow to alert me of road closures and the other is quick to show alternative routes but no reason why the route was changed.

6. App either goes to a standstill for ages when zooming out, or worse, stops entirely and crashes.Great app when it works.

7. Maybe it's the recent flooding events that have gummed up the works, which is unfortunate, since it's precisely the time where an app like this is needed.Extremely helpful and informative and very straight forward.

8. I've only had the app a few days but I haven't had any issues associated with peak usage.Edit: Update of 16 Nov 2022 appears to have fixed the performance issues.

9. Tried the app on my ZTE T86 phone (running Android 10) and get a similar experience.

10. I have disabled contacts & media from the app as I cannot see the relevance. Was great when it worked, and it did well for years.

11. Surely there have been improvements since then included especially to accommodate my Android device purchased in Nov 2021.
