1. Spending over several days of resources to teach just one word "orang" and keep repeating the country names for practice everyday is ridiculously unorganized and wasting time. The simple color palette, the cute icons, and the different style of quizzes... i like it! The 5 minute rule makes it very exciting and keeps my focus.
2. However, after the first couple of days learning useful expressions, it started disappointingly teaching the names of countries (some are not even very popular such as Ukraine and Krosia) and kept repeating the country names for just one thing: add the word "orang" to any country name to indicate the people of that country.
3. Even so its a useful app for a beginner to build some vocabulary in a few minutes per day, as an accessory to more intensive learning methods. In the beginning the app worked perfect but now it keeps getting stuck! Need to continue re-opening the app within the 5 minutes.. and sometimes it doesn't react at all and stays stuck at the home page.I know money must be made but the subscription options are just too expensive.
4. "hand-mixer" is not exactly the first thing you need to know in an Indonesian kitchen, but you'd better know all the different types (stages) of rice...At the beginning I thought this be an excellent language learning app and I wanted to rate it 5 stars.
5. I mean, I want to subscribe - especially since learning Indonesian directly impacts my life - but I'm not in a position to commit to such a high price each month or a $160 lump sum for lifetime.
6. e.g., since Thailand is the name of the country, then the Thai (people of Thailand) is "orang Thailand"; Canadian is "orang Canada"; Japanese is "orang Jepang", etc.
7. I understand some other languages may be very complicated when converting the name of the country to the people and require more practice, but Indonesian is definitely not.
8. And yesterday I got the second surprise, an email that my Drops subscription is expired! 😳 I would like to get a refund of the withdrawed monthly fee because I purchased the premium lifetime subscription.
9. The loading of the app takes too long. What a fun & interesting way to learn! You hear the word or phrase repeated many times so pronunciation is supplied but you also see a picture & the written word.
10. Quite a few words in Indonesian have a voice over that does not match the word written.
11. One step at a time.I was very satisfied with the app, I used it longer than I year when I used the opportunity to buy the premium lifetime membership 2 weeks ago.
