XVR Pro Customer Insights

1. I have another camera Wyze and I can view with no problem fast forward, stop, rewind and play never stops of freeze.I own 3 flawless routers and i know how to setup most all types of networking but there is in fact something wrong with either the DVR or this APP... I was able to connect outside the local network for just a couple days and now i get no connection.

2. Beware though, as my phone flagged the app as malware.When in play back trying to view video it stops working.

3. Since I've removed those permissions my phone does not come on by itself anymore watch out people.after update on 15e, app crashed repeatedly, cant use anymore.

4. new update after 18e did not make the app function much better... you can run app on first startup, but next time it will freeze, and you wil need to delete all data, and restart app, and add cameras again.

5. A big thumbs down on that one.Why does this app need to have permission on my phone for microphone and Camera? My phone has nothing to do with my security DVR.

6. App works to view cameras and play back recorded footage from XVim DVR both on and off local network.

7. I agree with other reviewers that it's odd that the app insists on having access to phone and other permissions.

8. These buggers are turning on your camera and your microphone and recording your audio and your video from your phone.

9. I also noticed higher battery usage and my phone would automatically come on at certain times but show no activity.

10. After a short time of comfortable performance, the application started crashing with every time I start it up on my Samsung Note8.

11. Also asking for contacts and other permissions that's not necessary.Any alternative I strongly suggest it.There playback feature is horrible.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix XVR Pro Issues

1. Fix XVR Pro Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart XVR Pro: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the XVR Pro App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "XVR Pro" » Open XVR Pro » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for XVR Pro » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear XVR Pro app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from XVR Pro servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "XVR Pro" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check XVR Pro app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, XVR Pro might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall XVR Pro. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall XVR Pro then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing XVR Pro not working


2. Fix XVR Pro Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make XVR Pro be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to XVR Pro not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, XVR Pro may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

    I have a lot of mobile phone gb remaining, I have also check all the settings on my phone and on the app and on the wi fi’s.

    Evan when I am at home I can not view the CCTV coverage from my home wi fi or mobile phone data gb, when I am outside from any location I still cannot view the CCTV coverage from my mobile phone data gb.

  • Hello, I have issue with app. When I start live view it said "LBS connection timeout (-5410). A couple months ago we paid to use the app and continued to use it normally on the mobile network. It always works on the wi-fi network, and the mentioned problem with the mobile network appeared this afternoon, and before noon the application was working normally on the mobile network.   • I have a home security system that has been fine using the App Xvr Pro but now my app has been deleted not by me and when i try to download it agan my phone blocks it and says it is "fake and will take over my phone. Is there another app I can use

  • I did have the app on my phone and so did my wife the app has disappeared from both phones it was not uninstalled by us why has this happened i cant view the cameras on my phone anymore but can still see through the tv .
