Why should I report an Issue with XVRView?

XVRView Customer Insights

1. It has always been tempremental with remote access to cameras / CCTV, often hangs and crashes, which I have delt with, but now we have forced popup videoadverts on loading and the login servers have become unusable most of the time! If I could replace it with another package... I WOULD.

2. Before this, app worked good enough but when you try to view cameras in a hurry...you have to wait not only for the login but you have to also click on devices & tell it which cameras you want to view instead of them all popping up at once.

3. I can only view 4 cameras and you have ads running on it! It has always been slow to pull up, difficult to navigate, and now I have to watch an ad before I can see who is at my door or lurking around my house.

4. I can log in just fine, but when trying to watch the cameras, I get the dreaded "connect failed." The app is connecting to the DVR just fine, but will not allow me to view the cameras.

5. However, it suddenly stopped loading after the title screen and I was unable to view my cameras for several weeks which coincided with updates (?).

6. You'd also need your ISP to enable port forwarding, which allows you outside access to the device, for example when you not at home or using your mobile data to access the cameras when using a different IP.

7. It took weeks to get 10 cameras wired in on a 2 story house.The app worked great for a couple of months.

8. The XVIM cameras aren't bad in and of themselves, but trying to view away from home isn't worth the headache.

9. Also, cameras now showing as not connected like other users are having issues with.

10. Now it will no longer allow you to view the cameras.

11. I personally tried a few apps, this one is the easiest.I use this to check my security cameras NOT to watch ads.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix XVRView Issues

1. Fix XVRView Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart XVRView: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the XVRView App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "XVRView" » Open XVRView » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for XVRView » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear XVRView app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from XVRView servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "XVRView" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check XVRView app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, XVRView might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall XVRView. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall XVRView then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing XVRView not working


2. Fix XVRView Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make XVRView be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to XVRView not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, XVRView may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hello

    I’m having this strange problem with the xvrview app on my iPhone. I have 3 devices 2 won’t log in anymore they just say invalid user or invalid password. The other device logs in fine. I’m a bit confused as it was working a few days ago. I have uninstalled the app changed networks. If I click retrieve password it says it’s sent me an email but I get nothing. If you can help I’d appreciate it.

  • XvrView app just doesn't work, black screens all the time, failed to connect, uninstalled and reinstalled but same outcome. Reviews of app are not good with people who get to the same outcome just won't work. Wish I would have bought a better system now with a better app like eseecloud or cam hi which work with no problems at all!!! This app won't be recommended to anyone looking for cctv !!! I have complained already to you but no response has been made. SORT YOURSELVES OUT!!!

    We bought a vidéo surveillance device that work fine and get the 4 camera on my screen.
