About Emergency chat

1. The splash screen has a base text that explains to the person you gave your phone to that you can't use speech and want to use this app to communicate.

2. The default text is aimed at people experiencing an autistic meltdown, where their speech centres stay non-functional for a while even after they've recovered.

3. Both the title and text can be adjusted in the settings to be whatever you want the person you give your phone to to know.

4. Emergency chat can be used in any situation where speech is impossible but communication is still necessary.

5. You can then continue to the next screen which has a simple chat client.

Emergency chat Customer Insights

1. Sometimes I forget important things! Notes could help in suggesting other ways to help, coping skills, and people to contact in case of emergency Thanks for making such a helpful app!I've been looking for an app like this for a while now, and I'm really glad to have finally found it.

2. Hopefully I won't need to use them for a while, but it makes me feel more prepared and more equipped to handle situations I've been put in before.wonderful! i have bipolar disorder with anxiety and psychosis and i use it with family and friends when I'm having auditory processing problems, panic attacks, etc.

3. My one complaint, however, is the use of "aspie" in the default splash screen, which is short for a no longer diagnosed/existing disorder created by a nazi (Aspergers) for the purpose of eugenics.

4. Would be great if changing the chat colours was an option as I tend to need the app most when dealing with sensory overload, which often starts with visual overload for me.

5. I usually use emojis or other similar things, but having the option to select a prewritten response rather than just typing would be helpful. This app is incredible and I highly recommend it.

6. Thank youI love this app! Difficulty communicating causes a lot of frustration that doesn't help the situation-- this helps cut through that.

7. Still a brilliant app.I use this app when I'm about to have a seizure and am out in public to say to strangers not to call ambulance as I get VERY dissociative pre seizure and can't walk, talk or recognize people or understand what's going on around me.

8. I would really appreciate an update where the word is replaced with something else. This is well designed, but would be improved by a light/dark mode toggleas I find dark mode more overwhelming.

9. And the fact that I can have multiple splash screens saved is so important since I have multiple reasons I might not be able to vocalize.

10. And the two chat colors are so similar sometimes I get lost between them and it takes me longer to read the responses.

11. Big blocks of text aren't friendly to my dyslexic loved ones :( -Adding a section for notes.
