1. After calling Google about 5 times for an accumulative amount of 6 hours told me there's nothing they can do.Experiencing many issue and reported them twice but haven't got any reply yet, also there is no proper contact or support email or option to resolve the issue occured in app or web portal, one of the section I have completed at least 10 times but haven't showing as completed and due to this i can not start my Google certification assessment.The app isn't formatted nicely.

2. Be sure to keep an eye out for when they're back!" When this is fixed, the app will definitely be a 5 star.I don't usually leave reviews but for the first time I actually spent time doing my training for Google products and I started my training before my account was verified.

3. The training is good, working in a phone service store it gives me more information on the devices we sell so I can easily troubleshoot google phones.

Our Google rep promised the whole store 75% off of the pixel 4 only to be greeted with an app that doesn't give you anywhere near enough points to attain said discounts, all while offering quizzes that have wrong information in them that have answers that are nowhere to be found in any of the E-learnings.

5. When I first logged into the app I wasn't able to earn gold for the first few days of training - never worked out why this was.

6. After being on hold with Xfinity(the place the Pixel 4 told me to contact) for 4 hours found out Google sent me a phone that had been blacklisted as being stolen.

7. Even emailed the team and they just said to carry on doing training and no help was given.Probably the biggest joke of a training experience a retail associate has ever had to deal with.

8. I later realised that all the points I accumulated I was not given the gold for which I spent a good few days doing.

9. Kind of sucks not being able to receive the reward especially since the frequency of redeemable rewards is low.The app is fine.

10. There is nothing on my page and all that I keep on getting is "More rewards products will be added to the store again soon.

11. App decent, support poor.Easy to run out of trainings but for something that has the potential to give some really nice rewards it's hard to complain.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Retail Training Issues

1. Fix Retail Training Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Retail Training: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Retail Training App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Retail Training" » Open Retail Training » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Retail Training » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Retail Training app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Retail Training servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Retail Training" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Retail Training app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Retail Training might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Retail Training. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Retail Training then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Retail Training not working


2. Fix Retail Training Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Retail Training be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Retail Training not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Retail Training may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
