InkBird Pro Customer Insights

1. Though you can force a reset and retrieve live data, this is very inconvenient for what should be live data over your wifi network, and also takes you out of your device environment so you won't get temperature alerts if you're out of the environment.Great app, but unreliable with poor implementation.

2. The software doesn't sync properly with the device, which often results in delays for live data and preset temperature alerts.

3. They really need to update the charting capabilities to view over a time range, give the option to show not only sensor readings, but also work cycles (for thermostats, hygrometers, etc), & ability to group and view multiple devices at once.

4. I would prefer an app that looks horrible and functions properly if the usability of the devices is going to be dependent upon the app functioning properly.Great device, mediocre software.

5. Every preset needs a customized setting (which don't carry over to each probe for whatever reason), reviewing data from past cooks is nearly impossible, haven't even tried exporting data yet, but it sounds like a nightmare.

6. it just says "no data" even though device is connected to wifi, and phone is receiving live data.

7. Update: 3 - 4 months ago a new version became available, and it is working great.As everyone has mentioned, push notifications do not work well with this app.

8. Doesn't provide notifications in a timely manner, so by the time you get the notification for a temperature limit, the temperature may have changd significantly since then.

9. This is really poor implementation and lacking in basic functionality - I'm going to have to return the device because of this.

10. They were basically saying it was my device that's causing the problem.High and low alarm settings won't stay after setting them.

11. Notifications need a huge improvement-too wimpy, no vibrateI have had this unit for 6 months.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix InkBird Pro Issues

1. Fix InkBird Pro Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart InkBird Pro: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the InkBird Pro App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "InkBird Pro" » Open InkBird Pro » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for InkBird Pro » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear InkBird Pro app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from InkBird Pro servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "InkBird Pro" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check InkBird Pro app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, InkBird Pro might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall InkBird Pro. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall InkBird Pro then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing InkBird Pro not working


2. Fix InkBird Pro Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make InkBird Pro be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to InkBird Pro not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, InkBird Pro may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
