1. Thank youSecurity emails are not sent after failed attempt to unlock the device's lock screen even I granted your app to access my gmail account.I paid for the premium version but, so disappointed due to the following experiences:- The application is having some defects.

2. Therefore in lieu of this, there should be an option that if one's phone is about to switch off it should capture the image of the person switching it off and be send to the email that one registered with the app.

3. It doesn't start automatically after a reboot/restart of the phone, hence all permissions are granted.

4. The phone that the phone owner is using will get an email that they have cut someone trying to open his/ her phone.

5. I have changed the settings and configurations in order to hopefully get better results however it rarely works as advertised.The app doesn't work at all with the s23 ultra.

6. If a thief steals a phone in most cases the first thing they usually do is to switch off the phone.

7. Even when somone stills your phone and tries to open is/her phone.

8. The App becomes active only when the phone is unlocked after reboot/restart.

9. This app used to work perfectly on my phone.

10. I have to uninstall.I have the free version of this app and given my results i have not been convinced to purchase the full version, let alone keep the free version.

11. I had it properly set up yet it doesn't detect invalid attempts or send me an email.

1. Fix CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft" » Open CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft not working

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, CrookCatcher • Anti-Theft may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
