myGMC Customer Insights

1. Even once logged in, certain things don't work, like trying to access account menus like "services and plans" just causes the app to re-start the "get started" screen.

2. Kinda frustrated as the features on the app are apart of my onstar subscription and I can't even expect the app to work when I want it to work.

3. I tried to get directions while in the truck and 1 time it worked the other time it was frustrating as hell because the could not come even close they gave directions may hundreds of miles away.

4. I tried resetting my password (even though I wasn't in putting the incorrect password to begin with) but that didn't work... I even tried completely uninstalling the app and then reinstalling it with no luck.

5. Question...are the remote start and lock/unlock functions from the app only available if we have an Onstar subscription? If so, that's not good.

6. The app home screen only asks if I'm ready to activate onstar, which I've never signed up for the service and don't wish to use.

7. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times only for the app to working briefly before stating the same "service unavailable" message again.

8. Worked fine until today, now it just asks if I'm ready to activate my onstar whatever, which I don't want to do.

9. It constantly says the service is unavailable and will usually work once after I Uninstall and reinstall the app.

10. But other than that it's a pretty decent app.App doesn't work 98% of the time.

11. Fine time for it to not allow auto start in the dead of winter when it's needed most.

  • Hi all, I've been trying to diagnose this issue with GM/OnStar Support for
weeks now and have gotten nowhere. I bought a new 2020 GMC and since the beginning the myGMC app has never worked. I
have not been able to send remote commands like door lock, remote
start, etc. The key fob works fine it's just the app. I'm paying for the
appropriate plan to be able to do these things, but they just don't work
    and the commands always fail.
I've created a few cases with GM/OnStar support to try and resolve but
and they have not been able to fix the issue after weeks. it's only been
some basic troubleshooting (reinstall the app, resend connection
commands, drive the car around the block, etc) I can't even get in touch
with anyone past the basic troubleshooting/level 1 type of support.
My question, has anyone experienced something similar and how did you
resolve it? Is there a way to escalate this further with GM/OnStar Support
to get this resolved that you know of? I feel really stuck with a service that I pay for and want to use, thier support is really letting me down
    Thanks!
