Giant Eagle Customer Insights

1. Extremely frustrating!Slow coupon load, clip a coupon and it will flip from clipped to not clipped until 15 seconds later when the entire unclipped list reloads (sometimes in a different order than was originally viewed).

2. If you're going to list items, different flavors should be together, not hap hazard through the category, they are next to each other in the store! Put the ad and shopping list back on the old app.

3. Then, randomly 10-15 seconds later while you're scrolling further down the list, the entire list will refresh and take you back to the top again and usually the coupons end up in a different order.

4. The biggest frustration of all - once you put in an order that's it - absolutely no editing! You can't change quantities, add or delete items, change the delivery date or time.This is an excellent app.

5. Also looking forward to dark mode.It's relatively easy to put items on my order and many more curbside pickup up times are now available.

6. With supply chain shortages, it's extra frustrating, I'd rather make the selection myself of a substitute item or not add it rather than get text after text and calls from my store telling me they are out of a product I ordered.

7. Obviously, right now, pickups are being scheduled several days out so between the time an order is placed and when it's picked up, I find I need to add several items.

8. However, after asking for help because my coupons would not show up in my app when scanning in the store, they said that you have to clip coupons prior to going to the store.

9. If Giant Eagle is trying to frustrate people into not using digital coupons via browsing the list they've succeeded.

10. This last order took me FOREVER! I kept getting an error message, and it was removing things from my cart, and my total kept changing.

11. Please fix it! It is basically impossible to use currently!They advertise the ability to scan coupons using the app while in the store and use them at the register.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Giant Eagle Issues

1. Fix Giant Eagle Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Giant Eagle: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Giant Eagle App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Giant Eagle" » Open Giant Eagle » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Giant Eagle » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Giant Eagle app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Giant Eagle servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Giant Eagle" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Giant Eagle app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Giant Eagle might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Giant Eagle. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Giant Eagle then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Giant Eagle not working


2. Fix Giant Eagle Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Giant Eagle be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Giant Eagle not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Giant Eagle may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
