1. The anchor function has a few bugs and design shortcomings that prevent me from using it.The speed meter needs updating.. Only at low speed below 10 knts you will see dismal point e.g 8.3 knts or 9.8 knts.. Higher speed there is no dismal point e.g 19 knts too 20 knts and so on But never 19.3 knts or 19.4 knts or 20.5 knts ..Since last summer, I started to evaluate a few navigation apps to replace the one I used but is no longer supported.
2. It is a MUST HAVE for navigating the AICW! The Army Corps of Engineers does frequent surveys that are quickly posted to the Aqua Map charts, and are later posted to the official NOAA charts.
3. The upgrade to Aqua Map Master allows real time display of NMEA 2000 instruments (depth sounder, AIS, etc.). Unfortunately the upgrade is only available on a subscription.
4. I also noticed that they update/improve their product on a regular basis and the support has been great and quick via support email.
5. After having used Navionics for over 5 years and having emailed them on numerous occasions about things like auto update for their charts, etc.
6. Like they said on TV; try it-you'll like it.I've just started using the product (mostly because they offer Bahamas Explorer Charts) so I can't provide a full review.
7. Use it every single day.As a follow up on previous post: The app seems to have stabilized and now loads up and holds onto downloaded charts.
8. I decided to try Aqua Map (free trial) because it has all the features (packed!) that I want and the subscription for the maps is quite reasonable.
9. With the paid version; no ads, and charts are always updatedThis is a great navigational application.
10. But what I've seen so far has been excellent, and maybe more importantly the email support I've recieved from Enrico has been fantastic.
11. After spending my whole life in IT, I am a very tough reviewer from a coding perspective, however the app professionally written and interface is well thought out.
This app will not open I keep getting a message saying the problem is on your end. Please help? Regards
