About DNSChanger for IPv4/IPv6

1. This App creates a VPN connection locally (No data leaves your phone using this VPN connection) to use your configured DNS servers on both wifi and mobile networks without needing root permissions.

2. Whilst it is fairly easy to adjust the DNS servers used by your device when using wifi, android offers no option to change the used DNS servers when using a mobile connection (2G/3G/4G etc. ).

3. Usage of the VpnService is required to change the DNS servers for all types of networks (otherwise it would work for Wifi only), as well as offer advanced security features.

4. Both Ipv4 and Ipv6 are usable, a feature which isn't supported on many phones (Even Android doesn't offer IPv6 DNS configuration in your wifi settings).

5. No actual VPN connection is established and no data leaves the device via VPN.

6. This app uses the Device Administrator permission.

7. This is in no way required any only used to prevent uninstallation if wanted by the user.

8. This app uses the VpnService.

9. No system settings are modified.

10. If you like this app, please consider rating it in the store.

DNSChanger Customer Insights

1. Don't know what's causing this, but I assume its the Adaptive Battery function in Android Pie 🀷🏻 ♀️ So, 5 stars since its most likely not an issue with the app!Why did I not find this sooner? 3 years ago I looked for and tried many DNS changers, all of them were useless AD riddled apps that try to sidetrack us in various ways.

2. Currently, I have to manually disable this app when connected to WiFi away from my house and if I forget to do so, I'm essentially "offline" ☺️I was recently hacked and they took over my wifi, router and phone! 😑 Not to mention they stole my IP address and have access to everthing! I was told to download this app!!! If there's malware on your phone they ll find it and get it rid of it ASAP.

3. This app has been here all during my search yet I never found it until today πŸ€” I found others too but this one is better πŸ‘ I don't need it for the phone I'm using, but I have 2 older phones and a tablet that do πŸ˜‰ and it works perfectly with them too πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³By far the most complete DNS changing app.. Has a switch you can add to the notification tray too.

4. Provides Black/White list option for apps, pin protection to secure settings and ability to set app to admin status - keeps other apps from bypassing new DNS security.

5. I do notice higher speed as well, but I have been using a high speed VPN , so I needed a more consistent and smoother connection, and yes, I also want more speed, which I definitely have more of now.

6. That's just the stupid OS/manuf skin though; I've never had it crash on me.This is a great app, and it does do what it says it will do..I find that to be surprising , and they are so helpful !!!.. which I find to be even more impressive, very hard to find in the VPN world.

7. Once I turn on the app it stopsVERY useful!! The only thing that would make this better is if it would activate/deactivate based on SSID the device is connected to, or provide per-SSID profiles since not every network has the same setup.

8. Careful: my phone likes to silently close dnspipe shortly AFTER you unplug it from the charger, sometime when the screen is off.

9. The only issue is when it is running, the WiFi icon on the status bar shows an exclamation mark.

10. Well worth the money.Fantastic; been using it for years.

11. I read online about using a DNS change and tried this.
