Cannot completely swith off the display while playing music (YT's rules), but you can go to ⚙️phone settings-> display-> screen saver->three dots(top right corner) ->start now, and it uses less battery that way ,while still playing music in the background.Recommend!There's a lot of errors in this app..... The advertisement doesn't load often and stops the music from playing too, everytime an add fails to appear in background mode, I have to restart the app and then search for the song again and again, to listen it...... I have downloaded this app to listen to any kind of music in background while doing other tasks, but what to do if this app keeps on interfering and continuously keeps diverting you to skip those adds, and restarting the app all the timeThe app does what it says it does it plays youtube videos almost perfectly with few lags and frame skips.

2. This was not the case before and this is happening for artists I had listened to playlists for before as well as other random musicians as well.Good app, good choice! Very useful for multitasking other apps on the phone, while still listening to your favorite music from YT.

3. I wanted to play from the already existing playlists on my own account, but this app does not allow for the linking between your YouTube and the app, making it just another Spotify or Music store or SoundCloud.

4. I love that I can listen to ANYTHING on YouTube while doing other things on my tablet or phone, or let the screen go black to save the battery..Was a great app....but now it keeps crashing.

5. The freezing became too much if a problem so I'm getting ready to uninstall.EDIT: I had given this app 5 stars but was really bummed when it started putting ads right in the middle of a song, stopping the music.

It seems to only allow individual songs to play, which works as it always did, but now if I try to play an album or playlist they either don't show up in the search because the search never finishes loading, or it shows (eventually) that there is a playlist/album but once clicked onto it goes into perpetual loading.

7. They've downgraded the app to where you can no longer listen to music in background, can no longer lock screen, and some videos don't come up when searching.

8. The key factors when looking for a good music app seemed to be there... the only problem was that it would freeze and at times it would freeze so long that I'd have to restart my phone/tablet.

9. Apps supposed to get better over time not worse!! Luckily I still have the older, better version on an old phone that I won't be upgrading.I like that till now there were only one or two adds (I've been using the app quite a lot for a few days now).

10. Ads don't show up between music so you can enjoy a massive playlist without interruptions.

3. Clear Background player for Youtube Vanced minimizer app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Background player servers.
   1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Background player for Youtube Vanced minimizer" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
4. Check Background player app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Background player might not work.
5. Uninstall and reinstall Background player. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Background player then reinstall.
6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Background player not working
