Voice Recorder Customer Insights

1. I do a lot of pausing/playing when recording while also going to other apps to look at references and I've discovered that if you're recording in the background while multitasking, and pause and then play the recording, it completely cuts out huge chunks of audio.

2. Super configurable: you can edit the effects (there's a background noise filter!), select audio source (external or internal mic), change encoding format (mp3, AAC) and even has Google Drive sync!!!! Insane.

3. All around pretty awesome app.I have often attempted to close my screen, but the audio of a recording I was listening to continues to play against my wishes.

4. All of my recordings, almost 200 lyrics, melodies, potential songs...gone, sadly deleted... And without warning! To me that's like a musician chillin in a coffeehouse, writing lyrics in a notebook, and a barista walks by, grabs the notebook while you're not looking, and chunks it in the trash.

5. The Voice Recorder app was able to record using my bluetooth headset to create the WAV files.

9. I wish that if one were listening to a recording, that it would silence/pause upon a screen locking.

10. I get it all squared away eventually, albeit it is time-consuming to re-open my screen to get it to shut up.Horrible, I'm having issues with the whole app!! I'm unable to save any of the recordings.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Voice Recorder Issues

1. Fix Voice Recorder Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Voice Recorder: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Voice Recorder App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Voice Recorder" » Open Voice Recorder » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Voice Recorder » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Voice Recorder app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Voice Recorder servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Voice Recorder" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Voice Recorder app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Voice Recorder might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Voice Recorder. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Voice Recorder then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Voice Recorder not working


2. Fix Voice Recorder Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Voice Recorder be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Voice Recorder not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Voice Recorder may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
