Burpple Customer Insights

1. You can't even load restaurant pins if the map isn't pinched up to really zoomed in portions (not even load slowly!), during search the filters only work on an AND basis (you can't search for Buona Vista OR Holland Village for example), and a couple of other things make the UX a bit annoying.Would rate lower if possible.

2. Even went to another spot to try in case if was a connection issue but it wasnt either.Generally a great variety of deals and kudos to the team for pulling through a tough few years during the pandemic.

3. I used to like discovering things by browsing the map and finding places I've never been to; the new update is lazy and limits the search to such a tiny window of the map, requesting you zoom into an even smaller area.

4. I'm not spending 10 minutes pinching and zooming an entire neighbourhood for burpple deals - terrible update.

5. Hope the team can continue to add new places for beyond deal!Many restaurants for deals, variety is decent.

6. Probably not resubscribing as the effort to find burpple restaurants is a chore.On several occasions, i have not been able to apply the promo because of app issues.

7. Requests have been put in to make those changes but were not reflected.I'm a long time Burpple user but recently the app seems to be terrible at loading.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Burpple Issues

1. Fix Burpple Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Burpple: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Burpple App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Burpple" » Open Burpple - Food Reviews & Deals » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Burpple » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Burpple - Food Reviews & Deals app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Burpple servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Burpple - Food Reviews & Deals" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Burpple app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Burpple might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Burpple. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Burpple then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Burpple not working


2. Fix Burpple Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Burpple be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Burpple not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Burpple may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Hi Burpple Team,

    I would like to cancel my Burpple account this year and would like to request for a refund. I was not aware that automatic renewal would be made for my account. Furthermore, I have already passed the last possible billing day on my account and should not have been billed (I was supposed to be billed on 8th August, but I was only just billed on 12 August, when I thought that my account was already cancelled because I missed the earlier billing date which is the correct day.) I would like to see your understanding as I am a student and do not have a lot of money and $99 would mean a lot for my expenses. Thank you for understanding, do let me know fi there is anything that can be done to help my situation, thank you!
