Woolworths Customer Insights

1. Update: Doesn't take you straight to the chat with shopper so you can't find the message! Also after checking nutritional info the app cuts out!Much like all the bad reviews from other users, I'm struggling to find anything else to add - incorrect addresses, latency issues to the point where even responding to the shopper times out( I'm on probably the fastest fibre options in SA).

2. After the latest update, the app is slow to use, there is bad stuttering in almost every page, I cannot access the page to make payments on my black credit card, and the credit card page says I'm in arrears.Unusable on the latest version.

3. Incorrect card is being displayed.It is extremely difficult to find a message from uour shopper in the app and then it won't open in order to respond to this.

4. I so regret updating my up but since the update I cannot search for items, it times out and hangs constantly when trying to add items to my cart.

5. Update: Store card balance now showing, but credit card facility still not working.

6. There is no ways so many years into the app you still get the same complaints from users.Please fix app so that when on a product, the red text below which shows the saving special will actually be a link which takes you to add other specials (like Sixty app does) .

7. UNFORTUNATELY SOMETHING WENT WRONG Retry/Dismiss.Credit card management facility on this app has not worked all weekend.

8. Drivers pitched before allocated time and then impossible to get customer services.I was previously frustrated with the notifications but I resolved that by turning off notifications for the app - thank goodness for that.

9. Whoever is the CTO, please be humble and ask Checkers to share@ it's dev team It's bizzare that the 60s app is capable of informing one that a product is not avalaible, but yours cannot.

10. I noticed performance issues on my phone as well and I am not sure if it is related to this update but it's incredibly frustrating.

11. It's also not easy to find the chat with shopper when getting a notification.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Woolworths Issues

1. Fix Woolworths Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Woolworths: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Woolworths App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Woolworths" » Open Woolworths » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Woolworths » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Woolworths app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Woolworths servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Woolworths" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Woolworths app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Woolworths might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Woolworths. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Woolworths then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Woolworths not working


2. Fix Woolworths Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Woolworths be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Woolworths not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Woolworths may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
