1. The app’s intuitive user-friendly interface allows you to check if your heart device is connected with your doctor, get information about your heart device including its battery status, view the history of transmissions and send manual transmissions to your healthcare provider, and be notified if there has been a significant change in the performance of your implanted device.
2. The App uses an internet connection through a WiFi or cellular network to send information about your implanted heart device to your healthcare provider.
3. The app provides remote monitoring capability of the device by transmitting information from the patient’s implanted heart device to the patient’s healthcare provider.
4. The myMerlinPulse™ mobile application for patients is intended for use by people who have an Abbott Medical implanted heart device and access to a mobile device.
5. This app will only function once paired with your implanted device.
6. Your information is encrypted to ensure the privacy and security of the transmission.
7. Do not rely on the app during a medical emergency.
8. This app does not currently support tablet devices.
9. If you experience a medical emergency, seek medical attention immediately.
1. Only issues I have is, 1: it wants full-time location permissions, and 2: for consistent connectivity Bluetooth must be turned off then on before sending a transmission.Have only one big inconvenience while using my MerlinPulse application and that is the constant message saying it is running in background and on a loop all day long...gets very annoying and most inconveniently sound and messaging while you are needing it to be quiet around your surroundings.
2. Everything else works effectively and glad to have this app connected to my device for transmitting purposes and for my peace of mind especially since my health depends on my ICDWell, reading other reviews tells me they are not about customer care because they have the same automated response to every review no matter what the review says.
3. Requires to always be in the foreground, which is an impossibility! Just doesn't seem to work as advertised.Had to disable both WiFi and cellular networks and then reconnect in order for the app to realize that my phone was connected.
4. It also at times says I am not connected to the internet when I am.Satisfactory app, straightforward user interface, great choice of fonts and colors to ensure ease of reading.
5. To be a little more specific, if the device detects that my heart is having problems then the app should tell me.App wouldn't open passed the agreement page.
6. I had an episode earlier this week and it would be great for the ER staff who treated me to have access to the log info on the device. This application sucks.
7. Also, when my heart is having issues it takes forever for this app to connect to my device and send the telemetry.
8. If you can't tell me whwn im having an issue right away in stead of every 30 days the app is useless.Very obscure UI and operation, no regard for privacy, and no indication that security was ever even considered.
9. I don't get it.Drains the battery! Constant notifications it's connecting but doesn't work if using the phone or another app.
10. Once I figured out it provides no more info to me than my Merlin at Home unit (i.e. nothing) I didn't bother to set it up and just uninstalled it.
11. And now it's saying it ain't connected to turn on allow all the time on the permission settings and my settings are already set to those settings.
