1. Multiple notes can be entered and saved for later use. - Large font and contrast for readability in bright daylight. - Optional popup every 10 minutes to remind you to transmit your callsign. - Optional ringtone played along with the visual reminder.
2. If you don't want audio alert, select "silent" or "none" ringtone. - Share note content as a simple text file, formatted as JSONArray (string). Extension is . hctxt (HamClockTxt) but can be edited in any text editor.
3. Sharing via Bluetooth is less reliable on different devices, because android versions and phone vendors vary in trusted file types for BT transfers, and in permissions needed to access bluetooth storage space (received files).
4. HamClock is targeted for portable amateur radio operators. - Reminder to transmit callsign every 10 minutes, as required in some countries.
5. Use it to record location name, QTH locator, callsign, activation details for SOTA, WCA, WFF or other activities, event info etc.
6. If proper JSONArray file format is detected, "save or discard note" is offered.
7. With Gmail, open/receive directly from an attachment (no need to download the attachment first).
8. Sharing via other applications is not tested, and it may or may not work.
9. Note can be entered in up to four fields.
10. Sharing works best via Gmail or GoogleDrive.
11. This app does not collect any personal data or share anything with anyone.
1. I do agree that a widget would be a great addition, but I'm perfectly pleased with it as is.It would be nice to have an option to display the seconds, for setting wspr beacon clocks on devices that don't have internal RTC backup power.Great app overall.
2. There should be an option to easily create a widget within the android sdk so of you could do that sometime I'd be willing to pay for the upgrade. Was hoping that there would be metadata associated with notes (utc time of creation at least).
3. But we need an option to enter the time because we might have contacted earlier than the current local time and want to know the UTC time.
4. I am planning on using this app while doing POTA activations and it would be nice to have a repeatable timer that I could set for say 25 minutes to remind me to respot my activation on the POTA Spotting web page.
5. Thanks for a nice app..I'll give it points for displaying both local and UTC times together, but there REALLY ought to be an option for displaying seconds as well as minutes.
6. Is there any way to enable a copy and paste function in the time windows so either could be quickly captured and used in notetaking?Tool that does One Thing Well! Thank you, it was hard to find a UTC+local time clock.
7. Highly recomended.Perfect app - does exactly what you want with no confusing extra stuff that you don't need for ham use.
8. I do have a couple items for the "wish list" 1) Have a second timer that would repeater at what ever timer interval the user selects.
9. Congratulations on a great and simple app.Works well! Everything valued for use in the field is included in the app.
10. Nice and simple and easy to read in the field.
11. Seems rather pointless without the seconds. The app is great by itself but it's not quite what I'm looking for.
