StepTrack Customer Insights

1. Sometimes it keeps counting unnecessarily and we cannot reset itToo many adds Keeps stopping even though it has full permissions with respect to the battery And just today, I opened it to see how many steps I had done (it was actually running for a change) but it went and zeroed the number of steps I had done (no steps recorded in today's history)Works very well and easy to use.

2. The only additional feature I would like is a reset for the number of stepsGreat app, works fantastic but now has so many ads.. It never used to have any; Id pay a bit to have them removed but I see no option for that.Best app, nice interface, works in background when proper permissions are given.

3. Editl I give up i .just won't stay on nice looking app but today I stopped to talk to someone for about 15 mins ...I then walked for quite a while ..I checked the app to see how many steps I did ...but it had turned off while I was talking to the person .the app is breaking my heart.

7. (Nov 2020) I have disabled battery optimisation yet it still seems to be a bit battery hungry if you don't turn the app off.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix StepTrack Issues

1. Fix StepTrack Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart StepTrack: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the StepTrack App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "StepTrack" » Open StepTrack » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for StepTrack » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear StepTrack app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from StepTrack servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "StepTrack" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check StepTrack app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, StepTrack might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall StepTrack. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall StepTrack then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing StepTrack not working


2. Fix StepTrack Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make StepTrack be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to StepTrack not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, StepTrack may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
