Having to pay 3 bills in full defeats the purpose of trying to use the service, wasted time giving them all my personal information just for them to tell you to pay it in full when you did all of this to be able to pay in installments..I got qualified for very low amount and even after the first payment in installments won't let you use more than one third that amount very ridiculous.

3. I love the idea, and hopefully it'll last forever.pretty convenient service and not a scam- they have helped me with 2 of my bills so far and it was really helpful to have the option to split a bill in to 4 different payments over time.

4. Then I get a notification that they doubled the up front amount and will take 7 days to send a check! Waste of time esp at $14.99!Make sure you don't accidentally create a duplicate account under a different email! Even after sending in the required verification via the web form, no one is acknowledging it was sent in.

5. Signing up was really easy, my bills were paid with no issues, and I even received an increase in my approved amount after paying my balances on time.

8. saved me from having my phone shut off! the only thing I had an issue with was that even if you have enough available credit to cover an entire bill, sometimes they will choose not to pay for the entire thing and will only pay a portion of the bill.

9. The only c9n I can think of is they sometimes have to pay your bill by check so I recommend you send that bill off 2 weeks ahead of time.

10. I found another app that splits bills, but repayments are weekly instead of biweekly, they take takes to pay your bills, and they don't increase the approved amount very often, if at all.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Deferit Issues

1. Fix Deferit Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Deferit: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Deferit App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Deferit" » Open Deferit: Pay bills in 4 » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Deferit » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Deferit: Pay bills in 4 app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Deferit servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Deferit: Pay bills in 4" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Deferit app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Deferit might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Deferit. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Deferit then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Deferit not working


2. Fix Deferit Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Deferit be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Deferit not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Deferit may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
