1. I would say that this app is more of an afterthought than anything else just so they can say that they have an appDoesn't work on slow Internet connections, generator puts a ton of useless data on the LAN (thankfully, not the Internet connection itself), and requires Internet, even when the generator and app ARE ON THE SAME LAN.

2. It would be most useful to be able to monitor the generator when it's running but that doesn't seem possible.The only flaw that I could see was that the exercise timer cannot be programmed through the app.

3. To use this app the generator has to connect to Kohler's servers so when there isn't an internet connection, you cannot monitor your generator.

4. Just an error, without any useful information.This app is fine until the power goes out and you lose your internet connection.

5. When the app decides the generator has lost connection, you don't even get "most recent status".

6. Had a piece of equipment replaced in this system almost a year ago and was told it would reset and provide accurate information and that hasn't happened.

7. You can actually shut your generator off if it's running or turn it on, but you can't schedule maintenance you can't do anything meaningful.

8. OnCue connected and we have been able to monitor the generator status.

9. Worked fine until this equipment was replaced.3 times since January 1st it has lost network connection.

10. Other than that it's a great system.This is a decent app, however does not provide accurate information as it's designed.

11. It can't establish a connection to my generator.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix OnCue Plus Issues

1. Fix OnCue Plus Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart OnCue Plus: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the OnCue Plus App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "OnCue Plus" » Open OnCue Plus » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for OnCue Plus » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear OnCue Plus app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from OnCue Plus servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "OnCue Plus" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check OnCue Plus app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, OnCue Plus might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall OnCue Plus. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall OnCue Plus then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing OnCue Plus not working


2. Fix OnCue Plus Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make OnCue Plus be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to OnCue Plus not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, OnCue Plus may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
