1. 20Mar - some improvements but still difficult; transactions are 'touch-and-go,' never know if entry will succeed or have to repeatAll you can do with this app is to view balance and that's it! It's even hard to search for merchant name! No search result even if you enter the correct name format! You have to scroll down to view more but still takes forever to wait for it to load to the next screen.

2. I really hope their features will be fixed asap so I can enjoy it again.It sure is nice knowing your cards balance and using it for buying stuff.

3. Another thing, is it just me or you can't pay any of your enrolled billers using the credit card that you enrolled? Everytime I try to pay my utilities, the only source or option to pay is from my savings account.

4. Some features like adding peer is always not avalable.. when entering using a fingerprint it takes long period of time to finally sign in successfully.

5. Made sure there's no pending software update, still can't use the app! Had the issue for days, then my bf told me to run an anti virus scan and make sure my phone's 100% optimized.

6. I'm having trouble acquiring the security code; I'm not sure if it's because my internet speed is poor or because there may be an issue with the app because it sends the security code really slowly.

7. Retrieving an account is difficult if you forget your username, it doesnt allow you to retrieve username, there is no security questions when changing password.

8. Whe viewing a credit card details, there is no option to download the latest billing statement.

9. I'm annoyed since the old version of this software was so much better; it's really helpful.Difficulties logging in, paying bills, paying 3rd party.... overall VERY VERY DIFFICULT and VERY VERY SLOW.

10. The enrollment of billers and enrollment of new accounts was always unavailable, thus I have to input it manually everytime I need to pay and track my own spendings on my own.

11. When you try to pay a bill to any merchant it will load forever but it will not pay the bill even if you try many times! Nothing good will this app do for you compared to other bank apps that I have experienced!!!It used to be a really useful app.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Metrobank Issues

1. Fix Metrobank Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Metrobank: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Metrobank App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Metrobank" » Open Metrobank Mobile Banking » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Metrobank » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Metrobank Mobile Banking app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Metrobank servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Metrobank Mobile Banking" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Metrobank app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Metrobank might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Metrobank. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Metrobank then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Metrobank not working


2. Fix Metrobank Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Metrobank be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Metrobank not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Metrobank may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
