About Orbot: Tor for Android

1. All anyone monitoring your network traffic can see is that you're using Tor. ★ ABOUT US: Guardian Project is a group of developers that make secure mobile apps and open-source code for a better tomorrow. ★ OPEN-SOURCE: Orbot is free software. ★ MESSAGE US: Are we missing your favorite feature? Found an annoying bug?

2. Tor is free software and an open network that helps you defend against a form of network surveillance that threatens personal freedom and privacy, confidential business activities and relationships, and state security known as traffic analysis.

3. This process takes a little longer, but the strongest privacy and identity protection available is worth the wait. ★ PRIVACY FOR EVERYONE: Orbot prevents someone watching your connection from knowing what apps you are using or websites you visit.

4. Orbot uses Tor to encrypt your Internet traffic and then hides it by bouncing through a series of computers around the world.

5. Encrypted traffic from any app, through the Tor network, gives you the highest standard of security and privacy.

6. Orbot bounces your encrypted traffic several times through computers around the world, instead of connecting you directly like traditional VPNs and proxies.

7. Orbot is a free VPN and proxy app that empowers other apps to use the internet more securely.

8. Guardian Project makes apps that are designed to protect your security and anonymity.

9. Tor won the 2012 Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) Pioneer Award. ★ ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES: Orbot is the official Tor VPN for Android.

10. No central logging of your traffic history or IP address by your network operator and app servers.

11. Orbot is the only app that creates a truly private internet connection.

Orbot Customer Insights

1. It sometimes requires a force stop while running to get it to stop running in VPN mode when it's not on, which has always been an issue, but was escalated with the last update in September.Update, goes dormant a few minutes after you start it.

2. It does have a couple problems like failing to start sometimes and needing to stop it starting and start it again or needing to force stop the app to get it to work.

3. :)Orbot used to be a great free VPN, unfortunately now it either completely interrupts my connection or does not start at all.

4. I'd like to be able to configure the Global option to choose which countries it can connect to.To be honest its all on the processing speed of the user's phone and internet connection.

5. The first start after install goes fine, as long as I leave it running and wifi stays connected.

6. Gooood orbot!!!!Works as a effective option for securing your connection while on wifi.

7. It gets stuck at "Starting..." Every time I try to start after having stopped it or on boot.

8. Slow connection time - The app takes some time to connect at times, but this is acceptable for how well it works.

9. The app itself is great, or it would be if I didn't have to clear the data/cache every time I try to restart my connection to Tor.

10. It does seem to hinder the connection speed/data flow, meaning it slows it somewhat but has never failed to load the page.

11. Random disconnects - At times, the app may randomly disconnect me from it, which cuts my connection to the blocked app/s I'm trying to access.
