1. The mobile site works fine but I would love for this to be fixed, there should be no spaces between characters in a paid program.Of all the language learning apps I've tried this has been my favorite! Not only are the stories fun to read, but they are short enough to be consumable even for a beginner.
2. There isn't an overabundance of ads, which is awesome, and the lessons come with native speakers that read the stories you want. This app is great.
3. Also wish there were more free stories 😅.Great app with really pleasant sounding native mandarin speakers reading each story.
4. It is a little pricey, but it's been immensely valuable! This is a great app!! It allows you to see the sentence translation if you tap on it, and if you press and hold a word, you can see that word's definition.
5. It would be great if these worked the same as the #of lessons. With this app learning Chinese doesnt have to be painful! I'm so happy I don't have to constantly look for new content to listen to while I clean.
6. They have a lot of culturally relevant articles using tailored vocabulary and help link with other apps such as HackChinese and Pleco to make a solid suite of applications for learning Mandarin.
7. I love that I can easily translate word by word or sentence by sentence as a read - a more interesting way to learn vocabulary than flashcards.
8. The recordings are pretty good and the options you have during reading are pretty helpful (you can see the word definitions, change recording speed, etc).
9. Only issues I've had so far is that sometimes when you hover over a word to get the definition, it doesn't always show up and just shows the sentence instead.
10. Besides the bug, Du Chinese is one of my favorite learning resources- the articles expose me to a lot of useful words and grammar patterns.
11. I really appreciate the ability to just listen to stories continuously without having to push play when doing dishes.
