1. Really like the height adjustment tool, and getting great labeled photos of mountains here in the White Mountains. This app is amazing.
2. Sometimes I have trouble lining up the labels with the terrain or getting elevations to show up the way I want but that probably has more to do with my lack of practice, my phone, and needing reading glasses than the app.
3. For example: while photographing in the Alps for six weeks this app let me store labeled landscape photos on my phone for reference later for working on the thousands of photos from my camera.
4. I love using it to identify mountains and orient myself on trails I've traveled many times but was blindly unaware of my surroudings.Getting better with each release.
5. Then when I got a new phone I was able to "share" the photos to myself and import them into the new phone (rotated to landscape before sharing 4:3).
6. When I visit a new area I can download the new data and identify mountains without having any wireless service.
7. Definitely 5 stars. If you live around mountains, or visit areas with mountains, this app is well worth the money.
8. It is also just fun to be able to identify mountains while hiking.
9. I do have to realign the phone compass almost every day I turn on peakfinder, but no big deal.
10. Might be nice to have a feature to exaggerate vertical relief, since the height differences often look larger in real life than on the screen.
11. Even if you predownload everything it still asks to update on every single launch and if you have no internet (rarely do when I want to use this app) it won't work 99% of the time.
