1. After 4. 2 new Jelly Bean, The protection level definition of CHANGE_CONFIGURATION has been changed.
2. If you're able to use development tools, you can grant the permission manually by 'pm' command.
3. If your locale doesn't appear, please use custom locale function in menu.
4. If you have SuperUser privilege on your device.
5. MoreLocale 2 could get the permission automatically.
1. I currently use redmi note 8...Awesome but would be amazing if it could auto apply the last set Language setting at device startup.Setting a custom locale (en-FR) worked, but it makes all text in settings shift off-screen to the left.Thanks a lot.
2. UI is a bit geekish, but being a "setup and forget" thing it is no biggie.This app still works on Nokia Android Phones, and I can change language to Japanese and Korean although they're unavailable out of factory.Doesn't work... I know this app because I used it before on my old phone.
3. After installation, I've changed the language to japanese and some icons and apps in J5 were not translated like Camera, Phone, Contacts and Messages (kept in english).
4. Installation procedure is not difficult but requieres some familiarity of how to enable USB Debugging in the smartphone and how to send MS-DOS commands.
