1. No problem if process takes a while, but just let the user know that... Also, could be made clearer that you need to activate the email address before you are allowed to hire a bike...Easy to register and to pay ..Give the bike back are so easy not need to tap phone screen ;) Just press down the handle (so clever!) It save time.

2. Beware the cheap rides 😉Incorrectly charged a fee for twice returning a bike to the correct station quick to take your money but slow to return it to you when it's clearly the companys error.

3. Maybe the seat need dedicated screw to be able adjusted at same way as the seat high...Sometime seat is at not so suitable comfort skew... Nice to have opportunity to bike at decent working bike anayway ;)))Jesus, loving, Christ.

4. It feels like a scam because the only reason for using this service is that you get to use bikes "for free"...only to discover random fees will be appliedVery easy to use.

5. I did return bike to the station at least 2 last times with 1st time also being in the zone but the one without Infostand,i assume that that one was my fault.

6. I have been charged for the 3rd time 15zl for returning the bike outside the zone.

7. Cannot adapt to landscape screen, zooming out is difficult and Google Maps are not great for cycling or accurate parking.Totally inaccurate at telling what stations have bikes.

8. The app crashes, the QR reader doesn't work 80% of the time even in perfect light conditions, and it often shows bikes that simply aren't there.

9. In Cardiff and have been to several stations now that show bikes being available.

10. The initial registration process could be improved, I seemed to get in a state where it wouldn't accept the PIN it sent me, but wouldn't send another one... Then after 10 minutes or so, just started accepting original PIN.

11. So I keep paying for the service fees without any real misconduct, therefore the app is simply a scam, money sucking trick.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix nextbike Issues

1. Fix nextbike Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart nextbike: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the nextbike App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "nextbike" » Open nextbike » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for nextbike » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear nextbike app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from nextbike servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "nextbike" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check nextbike app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, nextbike might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall nextbike. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall nextbike then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing nextbike not working


2. Fix nextbike Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make nextbike be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to nextbike not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, nextbike may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
