1. Returning them immediately.I hate that this app lacks a remember me option, I don't want to request a password or code every time! The design and functionality of this app is identical to Tuya Smart, devices Wi-Fi plugs work on both.

2. And if you want to connect your smart plug to your wifi MAKE SURE that your phone, smart plug and router are LITERALLY close to each other (at least 1 foot away from each other) to connect them properly.The speed at which this app comes up and let's you control devices is very good.

3. I also use it as a power cycle for my Wi-Fi router, but you have to have them paired up to a different Wi-Fi router in order to make that work.

4. It doesn't even mention that the data is encrypted, non-personalized, etc... Will be buying different smart plugs -very- soon.This app is garbage.

5. After having installed the Android app , and using smart Wi-Fi electric plugs for around a year now.

6. This is my go to plug they are extreamly reliable and work better then other more expensive plugs.

7. Instead comes this app where the instructions are vague, at best, and even after jumping through the hoops of creating an account for them I'm still unclear as to how I'm supposed to even connect the damn lights to the Wi-Fi.

8. It recently started running in the background so I checked the permissions and it requests practically everything, and there "privacy policy" pretty much says they can share whatever data they want and use it for themselves or "third parties" on their behalf.

9. Hopefully, the plugs will work for more than one week (Until re-setup) due to the new router.

10. others I have used do not reconnect on thier own and need to be totally reset.These plugs were very cheap on Amazon, so cheap I was a little leery when I bought them.

11. Instead they just settled for mediocre😕It has been 2 years with my Jinvoo smart plugs.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Jinvoo Smart Issues

1. Fix Jinvoo Smart Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Jinvoo Smart: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Jinvoo Smart App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Jinvoo Smart" » Open Jinvoo Smart » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Jinvoo Smart » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Jinvoo Smart app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Jinvoo Smart servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Jinvoo Smart" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Jinvoo Smart app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Jinvoo Smart might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Jinvoo Smart. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Jinvoo Smart then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Jinvoo Smart not working


2. Fix Jinvoo Smart Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Jinvoo Smart be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Jinvoo Smart not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Jinvoo Smart may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • Recently, my phone is updated. I don't know it may be a just coincidence. But the jinvoo app was crashing continuously. It doesn't stay on. I cleared cache. The problem is still there.

  • I set up a new router but now my Jinvoo lights won’t reconnect to WiFi.
    Lights are plugged in and blinking, WiFi is set to 2.4 GHz i’ve checked the app for updates and all looks good?

  • I've been using three of your plugs for years with Amazon's Alexa — which is no longer recognizing "the server." I have 25 other lights connected successfully to Alexa and these are the only devices that will no longer connect. When I go to Alexa to reset the 'skill', I come to a page for Jinvoo which says that the page has been compromised, that it puts my data at risk, and must be shut down immediately. I hope you'll address this in an update. I'm currently able to use the plugs through the app, but without the voice commands I'm used to.

  • Hi, i have 8 Jinvoo Smart switches (at 3 buttons) at home but sometimes ONE of them lost often the connection. The problem is that also if I press and hold the Power button ( i didn't know what hold press so I tried with all three ) for 15 sec and more the LED indicator doesn't blinks rapidly/slowly. Only if i neckline and reconnect the threads the indicator start to blinks. Where i wrong ? what should i do ? Thanks

  • I got a new iPhone 13 Pro and app loaded to new phone but can no longer see old schedules. BUT the lights are coming on and off based on the old schedule. I want to change the schedule but cannot. Even entered a new schedule, but old schedule keeps overriding any new setup. HOW can I delete the old schedule and setup a new schedule? I am also now getting an error that the wi-fi is low or that device is to slow to connect. This is a crazy message as the plug has never moved and previously worked. I see no way to delete the old schedules. There was an option previously but it is no longer there. Please help.

  • I’ve been using Jinvoo smart app to turn on several appliances in the house for several years now with no problems. I’ve been using the schedule screen to turn them on and off at different times of the day with no problems. Today I went into the app to activate the on times and could not find the schedule times. I can turn on and off all three appliances by hitting the on and off button but do not have the schedule option anymore. When I hit the schedule option, the countdown timer screen is displayed. I’ve deleted the app and loaded it again with no change. What happened to the Jinvoo smart app??

  • I am having difficulties setting up Jingo plugs. I have purchased several over the years and I am now not able to connect. I have a 2.4 GZ router and I am well familiar with the set up. I tried to connect other plugs and now not able to connect again. Has there been a new update that is preventing me to connect? SG

  • Wifi curtain switch not working properly. I have 6 switches all installed about one year ago. All were working fine until I went away for four days. When I came back only one is not working properly. I have to press hard and a few seconds then it works. With the app all working 100%. Thank you for helping.

  • I changed to Xfinity gateway And I cannot get my smart plugs to connect. After research, this is a very common problem with Xfinity gateway. Can you help? Xfinity told me there was nothing they could do and to contact the manufacturer. I cannot rename my 2.4 GHz and my 5 GHz as it states on the app. I have reset the plugs numerous times.
