GizmoHub Customer Insights

1. Here are a list of the issues we've had so far... the app has randomly deleted itself from my phone all together, then when I reinstall it, all the info is just gone and I have to start completely over (this has happened at LEAST 3 times that I can remember) a couple times it has just erased ONE of my kids info 🤷🏼, takes forever for the location to work, their actual gizmos will sometimes randomly turn off, was stated when I purchased that I could set time frames that they are absolutely silent (like school time) but there is no setting for that and therefore they cannot wear them to school, I've also had issues with this new and improved update.

2. Additionally, we are encountering the incorrect notifications others have complained about, where it reports the calls are always to or from "you" even though they aren't.Using it with gizmo watch 3, outbound video from the phone to the watch gets stuck once the call is picked up.

3. I can call the watch, but there's not text message icon.

4. Since we live about 1500 miles from most of our family they are not able to send/receive message with the watch.

5. It's laggy and I cannot clear the Message notification - even though I have deleted the messages and clearing the cache doesn't do anything.

6. The third and possibly the most frustrating is that in order to allow someone the ability to send/receive message from the watch they have to be close enough to "pair" with the watch via I'm guessing Bluetooth.

7. EDIT: The response time when trying to locate a watch live is painfully slow, counting in minutes instead of seconds.

8. Inside the app, unread message count regularly resets back up as if a large number of messages has not been read.

9. Even when both watch and phone are outside in a major metro area, we live near Seattle, so we have pretty good cell signal in our area.

10. Even if they get paired while we are together on a vacation, if they swap phones they can no longer message the watch.

11. Very disappointed! Update: still not working, cannot force locate! Totally defeats the purpose.Great idea, but it does fail in a few areas.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix GizmoHub Issues

1. Fix GizmoHub Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart GizmoHub: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the GizmoHub App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "GizmoHub" » Open GizmoHub » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for GizmoHub » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear GizmoHub app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from GizmoHub servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "GizmoHub" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check GizmoHub app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, GizmoHub might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall GizmoHub. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall GizmoHub then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing GizmoHub not working


2. Fix GizmoHub Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make GizmoHub be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to GizmoHub not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, GizmoHub may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.

  • I am trying to reset my gizmo and it wants to send an authentication to a number that no longer exists but wont give me any other option for authentication except for that one number. Now I cannot get into an existing account, not can I register a new account. Verizon could not hwlp me either. Now I have a Gizmo I cannot use and am very angry and frustrated.

  • Verizon couldn’t help me, I set up my gizmo watch as a stepfather, and the baby daddy decided to mess with it and reset it. Now I’m locked out of my account and if I try to log in it says there is no account associated with that email, so I try to create an account and it says there is already an account for my number. I just need to be deleted out of the system so I can start over, if that’s not possible I’ll have to return it and get a different product that I can actually use.

  • Not a complaint but rather a cry for HELP.
    I have changed my email address since installing this app 3 years ago. Currently it is sirenes4872@redacted Therefore, I cannot get in to the app to update. When I tried my old email address and the associated password, I received notice that my password was wrong. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling with my new email address, my phone number and a new password. Response was that I already had an account ssociated with that phone number. 715-491-5808. Please advise how I can create a new account with a new app. Thank You.

  • HELP - I don’t remember my GizmoHub password and DO NOT have access to the reset email anymore. How can I log into my app for my child’s watch!

  • I had a gizmo account under Ksmrice@redacted that email no longer exists and I forgot my password and I have no way to retrieve or update that and right now I can’t connect to my daughters watch. I attempted to create a new account with my new email address but it will not let me because it recognizes that my phone number is associated with the old account. I need help deleting the old account with the cable one email so I can make a new one with my phone number associated with it.

  • My son has the Gizmo 2 watch and we had to get a replacement because the watch was not charging. When I got the new watch , I paired it but the app did not go to the home page, instead it says pair your device. So I tried to pair it again and the app says device already paired. Then I navigated to manage my device and it states that there are no paired devices. This is maddening. It worked fine for 6 months with the other watch. Please help. I am losing my mind trying to fix this

  • Gizmo pal 2 (616) 438-5461 will not pair with iPhone. Factory reset gizmo. Factory reset phone. Phone is up to date on software. App is up to date on software. Exchanged for different one at Verizon corporate store and still have the same issue.
