1. To get back where you were you need to scroll past all the ads you've already seen. The content and news alerts are great, but if you only have the free version, you quickly find out that many of the news alert notifications you receive are for articles that are only available for paying subscribers.
2. I've been using it for years and it was a great app until these changes somewhat recentlyLatest update trashed all my previously saved articles, and apparently no longer has the "search" function (that I can find in the app).
3. There are enough free news providers out there that I am about to take me readership elsewhere.I have had an active subscription for ad-free since 2018 and just had a payment go through today but have been seeing ads and getting pop ups in the app to "go ad-free".
4. Canceled my subscription AGAIN!Used to be a great news app, updates however have ruined that for newer Android phones.
5. What a way to mess up a potentially decent app.I have been using this app for a few years and once considered it the best news app available.
6. The ads that are sent in separate emails can be annoying. This was a great news app at one point.
7. I could have accepted all of that if the news had been presented in an organized fashion according to the preferences that I set.
8. I understand a free app needs to be paid for by ads, but Now ads keep popping up in the middle of reading, I cant read certain stories if I don't hand over money.
9. No other app has notifications that crash my phone.Used to be great, easy to navigate sections, looked good, not overly riddled with ads.
10. There's pop-ups in stories that are not supposed to be for subscribers only and many times you click on an article only to find out that it's only for subscribers even though it wasn't mentioned in the thumbnail header.
11. I would spend about 15 minutes a day browsing through the news stories.
