BoxOffice Customer Insights

1. App has 6 other types in addition that we never made! Where are those from? When our event arrives, if this thing fails to work right, we are seriously screwed! You need to fix this NOW.Doesn't work on pixel apparently.

2. Need to use it in less than 3 hours.As a small 501c3 charity, BoxOffice by Universe (and their website) had been invaluable.

3. Terrible! There was a link for this app on the website for an event I had purchased tickets for and I can't see my tickets anywhere.

4. I'll have to print tickets from the account on a computer.Their payment system is very faulty.

5. There's no place that lists my tickets, every screen is blank including the dashboard.

6. Website has our 6 ticket types.Yes i have the Filters chosen correctly.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix BoxOffice Issues

1. Fix BoxOffice Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart BoxOffice: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the BoxOffice App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "BoxOffice" » Open BoxOffice by Universe » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for BoxOffice » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear BoxOffice by Universe app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from BoxOffice servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "BoxOffice by Universe" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check BoxOffice app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, BoxOffice might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall BoxOffice. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall BoxOffice then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing BoxOffice not working


2. Fix BoxOffice Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make BoxOffice be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to BoxOffice not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, BoxOffice may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
