TradeStation Customer Insights

1. Could be much better.. Why no fingerprint ID to log in for Android? Why no definable default offsets for stop & target? Why no bracket order entry for the matrix? Too bad they took away the option to be logged into app and desktop platform at the same time.

2. It would be nice to have the bracket order as a default since I never trade without an exit and target price.

3. I don't like white wicks on my bars.Honestly, it has become one of my favorite apps to trade options on, but had to dock a few stars for their customer service.

4. We need an "Order Filled" and horizontal line price indicator sound notification just like the desktop.

5. I mostly trade with trade station desktop anyway which is first rate.Its good in a pinch, but the desktop has the features required to trade effectively.

6. It would be nice to get the same breaking news other platforms provide in real time from this broker.Terrible! I tried to switch from td to TS, at first it wasn't so bad, charts looked a bit ugly but you can get used to it.

7. When you change from a buy to sell order it changes your manually entered price to the current one so I end up accidentally entering at a horrible price.

8. Even the desktop platform, while years ago was great, both have fallen behind by basically being a dumbed down version of tradingview.

9. As well on a previous call with customer service I was told I might be called back, but I probably wouldn't be because the representative said they would likely forget to do so.

10. I left due to the customer service 8 years ago, thought I'd try again with the new pricing structure but I'm now closing the account before it's even funded.It is alright.

11. Tradestation has become a dinosaur with outdated software and poor customer service.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix TradeStation Issues

1. Fix TradeStation Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:

  1. Restart TradeStation: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the TradeStation App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "TradeStation" » Open TradeStation: Trade & Invest » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for TradeStation » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear TradeStation: Trade & Invest app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from TradeStation servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "TradeStation: Trade & Invest" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check TradeStation app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, TradeStation might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall TradeStation. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall TradeStation then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing TradeStation not working

2. Fix TradeStation Server issues & Internet Connection

  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make TradeStation be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to TradeStation not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, TradeStation may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
