1. The app is pretty basic all in all which isn't a bad thing as it makes using the toy much easier, but it would have been nice to see some refinement and add some sort of customisation to the controls (2 joystick on screen, multiple speeds).Ever since the update this summer, I cannot do most of the very basic things - I cannot scroll down, for example, without first slightly scrolling up, for some reason.
2. I cannot set voice control, once the "bb-8 not detected" message appears, app stops responding completely... I also have issues while connecting it to BB, since it can connect only when my phone is almost touching BB, and loses connection as soon as the phone gets far away (how are people supposed to remotely control it, then?).
3. As of writing this I do not have the force band so I do not have access to the full in app experience, so I'm writing this from the perspective of a person using the basic parts of the app, which work wonderfullyOverall pretty fun experience, easy to use and understand but nothing too fancy.
4. It's missing the tilt steer option where you can choose to steer the droid by tilting the phone in the direction you want it to go instead of using the onscreen joystick.
5. I will go to support. It's good fun but would be great if you could add a simple control system like 2 virtual thumb sticks simalar to a PlayStation control.
6. Mic works, permissions are on, I deinstalled and reinstalled the app, I forced a system update, checked for RAM, still nothing works.
7. The app worked great until mid January since then it wont connect to BB-8 anymore.
8. or less, it's empty and has to go to charger again! What the hell? For a toy that's not cheap at all, one would expect it to have a longer life 🤬I'm annoyed that I need to have this app installed in order to keep the charging animation off.
9. I mainly use Sphero Edu to play with my BB-8, as it has more features and is easier to handle when driving the robot around.
10. No luck still not able to connect.Driving works well.
11. I've learned to just leave it on the "need help? Contact us" screen for 3-5 minutes and it eventually connects to the unit.
