Logbook Customer Insights

1. To all other readers, beware that you cannot use different currencies in this app.Works pretty well, after receiving some tips from the developer... Although the GPS tracks trips, it can be hit and miss on the mileage counter picking up from where it left off... Will probably need to give the pdf a deeper read...Hi Stephan finally got to the rating page after update.

2. My advice is to just start with the pro and skip the conversion! Worth it!Wow! This app does everything you'd expect it to, and even inclues a few optional features like automatically tracking trips and expense tracking (not just gas)! I highly recommend this app if you're thinking of upgrading from the free app.Many good features, looks nice.

3. Strongly suggest to make very clear that the costs are USD only, and not ready to accept any other currency!!! -------- EDIT --------- I updated my rating to 1 star based on the response of the Developer.

4. It has made my tracking my mileage and expenses super easy and the data is easy to understand.If I ever have any issues, rarely, tech support is on top of it and super helpful.

5. The free version is just the trip tracker and you will need to purchase an add on to be able to export and print your documentation for tax purposes.

6. Does not work with any other currency but USD.

7. The response from the developer comes across as not very helpful and instead he seems to be blaming me for publishing this information online.

8. So the developer is actually admitting that using different currencies was not foreseen in the development of the App.

9. Unfortunately, it does not do any other currency than US Dollars.

10. The response from the developer is that the currency is dependent on my regional settings.

11. First issue, the point of reviews is to let other users know about issues.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Logbook Issues

1. Fix Logbook Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Logbook: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Logbook App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Logbook" » Open Logbook - TripTracker PRO » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Logbook » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Logbook - TripTracker PRO app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Logbook servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Logbook - TripTracker PRO" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Logbook app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Logbook might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Logbook. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Logbook then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Logbook not working


2. Fix Logbook Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Logbook be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Logbook not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Logbook may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
