My Uniden Customer Insights

1. Useless as a baby monitor, save yourself the time, worry and money and buy something else as I will have to.The app worked ok to start with, recently the alarm won't go off for sound or movement monitoring, and the video keeps freezing and being delayed by over a minute making it completely useless! So disappointed, not sure if they need to do an update or the app or something but they need to do something so people can keep their baby's safe and not waste money that could be spent on the child in other ways.Poor quality.

2. Ditto on poor noise/volume issues that other reviews mention.I have used it day 1 it was great now on day 2 it won't connect great ... so $170 dollars and the encryption won't connect It worked though it should be like this if it worked once just work then ... I have to by a rerouter for my internet clearly now but I think something like this could be resolved with better connections on your website / app in the first place ... it seems like a thing we could have fixed and not buy more productsNotifications simply Do.

3. It's not like we can just another camera.Can't find my device model number in the app, no way to adjust volume of the baby monitor lullaby audio from the app (or on the device for that matter).

4. The app is glitchy...white noise turns off randomly at times...2 way talk turns on...AND WAKES MY BABY!, due to the conversation I'm having with my husband whilst watching baby in the monitor.

5. The video quality looks great but this isn't helpful if you can't also hear the child properly.

6. It constantly disconnects and then won't reconnect unless I turn the camera off and on, sometimes that doesn't even make it work and when it is working the screen goes green.

7. As others have said, even with phone volume at max settings you can barely hear noises the child is making.

8. The monitor had great reviews but if I'd experienced the app I never would have bought it and now I'm stuck with having 2.

9. Trying to send a command to your camera so clunky; sometimes, it doesn't process.

10. The app also doesn't stay active and keeps reverting back to sound off when you use your phone for anything else.

11. Even with all phone settings set to maximum you can't hear a child call out or cry.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix My Uniden Issues

1. Fix My Uniden Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart My Uniden: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the My Uniden App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "My Uniden" » Open My Uniden » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for My Uniden » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear My Uniden app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from My Uniden servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "My Uniden" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check My Uniden app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, My Uniden might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall My Uniden. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall My Uniden then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing My Uniden not working


2. Fix My Uniden Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make My Uniden be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to My Uniden not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, My Uniden may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
