1. I gave it a 3 as the tv transmitter part works fine.It works great when it has a fully charged battery...once in a while it will disconnect and reconnect for no reason especially when I am on a call! I found out the cable is the issue when it starts to harden up plus the app hasn't been updated in over 6 years...Can't get volume low enough when on audio, disconnects by itself at times, trouble connecting to transmitters,trouble connecting to tv,doesn't disconnects frm audio source when done with audio ,goes into audio mode when your not & shows right hearing aid disconnected when it isn't & screws up your hearing.

2. I've been carefully rotating other components (smartphone, 3.5mm cable, etc), and the only common elements are the Smartconnect and hearing aids.I love the concept of this but find it annoying to lose connection and then need to reboot during call as caller can not get a clear voice.

3. The reason I give it four stars is because when the hearing aids connect to my Loop neck smart connect transmitter during a phone call, the callers cannot hear me and ask me if I am on a speakerphone or a Bluetooth device because my voice cuts off.

Great if you use hearing aids, better than headsets.Poor app; minimal control, too many screens, not really blue tooth, doesn't remember settings, not all settings available on each program, dependent on supplier for access to features, poor (moronic) equalizer, not separately adjustable (my ears have unique issues - they're not the same).

5. Doesn't connect well with my S6.I have moderate to severe hearing loss.Works great on my Android Galaxy Note 5 streams all sound directly to my Costco Kirkland hearing aids.

6. Streams audio from phone directly to hearing aids and allows you to answer the call and speak without holding the phone.

7. But intermittent issues between the Smartconnect, hearing aids, Bluetooth and "line-in" have been intolerable.

8. Been through 3 of these in 5 years.. Need to be better & especially with the price..Half the time when I activate it it does not connect anything none of the controls work.

9. Would be nice to have a extended battery that lasted 10 to 14 hours in standby mode and allow 6 to 8 hours streaming audio.

10. It required a little getting used to; however, once I developed the habit, it does what is desired and my aids function as they're designed to.

11. My ability to hear most voices in a group and take part in the discussion has become very gratifying.Great for OTR Truck driving.

Steps to Troubleshoot & Fix Connexx Smart Connect Issues

1. Fix Connexx Smart Connect Not Working/Crashes/Errors/Unresponsive & Black/White screen:


  1. Restart Connexx Smart Connect: Restarting the app will resolve most errors.
  2. Update the Connexx Smart Connect App. Here is how:
    1. On Android goto PlayStore » Search for "Connexx Smart Connect" » Open Connexx Smart Connect » click "Update".
    2. On iPhone, goto AppStore » Your profile » Available Updates » Check for Connexx Smart Connect » click "UPDATE".
  3. Clear Connexx Smart Connect app cache: Clearing cached data will force your app to retrieve the latest data directly from Connexx Smart Connect servers.
    1. On Android, goto Settings » Apps » Select "Connexx Smart Connect" » click Storage » click "Clear Cache".
  4. Check Connexx Smart Connect app permissions. If any of these permissions required to use your device's features are disenabled, Connexx Smart Connect might not work.
  5. Uninstall and reinstall Connexx Smart Connect. If nothing else has worked, completely uninstall Connexx Smart Connect then reinstall.
  6. Restart your device. Last, restarting your device can often clear most problems causing Connexx Smart Connect not working


2. Fix Connexx Smart Connect Server issues & Internet Connection


  1. Check network connection: An unstable Internet will make Connexx Smart Connect be unable to connect to it's servers. Ensure your wi-fi is working then restart app.
  2. Disable VPN: VPN can cause connection errors and lead to Connexx Smart Connect not working. Make sure all VPNs are off
  3. Enable background data: When Background data is turned off, Connexx Smart Connect may not be able to connect to the Internet when running in the background.
